2、the topic is someone can do something which is related to students daily life and is easy to talk about. It is intended for a class of 26 students at the level of rural elemental school of compulsory education. Students are with a strong sense of curiosity and a passion of knowing new things and the

3、y are willing to discuss and share with others. However, their self-control is still not good. Therefore, some games or challenges are employed to make the class more interesting and appeal to the students. III. Teaching Objectives 1. Knowledge Objectives: After this lesson, students are supposed to

4、 acquire knowledge on 1.1 vocabularies: swim, sing,cook,speak, English; 1.2 sentence structure: .can. 2.Ability Objectives: After this lesson, students are supposed to 2.1 master the vocabularies: swim, sing,cook,speak, English; 2.2 use the target sentence structures “.can.” to introduce what other

5、persons 2 can do; 2.3 improve their listening, speaking and writing skills through corresponding practices. 3. Emotional Objectives: After this class, students are supposed to 3.1 share the hobbits with the classmates ; 3.2 be willing to talk about what others can do; 3.3 strengthen the classmates r

6、elationship IV. Key and Difficult Points 1. Key Points: 1.1 vocabularies:swim, sing,cook,speak, English; 1.2 sentence structure: .can. 2. Difficult Points: The students can use the key words and the key sentence structure to introduce what other persons can do and apply them in their daily life . V.

7、 Teaching Methods Task-based Approach,PPP,TPR VI. TeachingAids multimedia devices ,vocabulary cards , exercise book, recording Part Two Stages and Procedures Step One Warming-up and Revision 3 1. Greeting The monitor says “stand up” and all the students do so and say “good morning, Miss.” And the te

8、acher answers them with “Good morning, boys and girls.” The teacher can also talk about the weather . Purpose: To make the students attention return to the class. Form the habit of practicing simple conversations in every class and strengthen students awareness of respecting the teachers. 2. Revisio

9、n The teacher asks some students to answer questions. For example, Teacher: What can you do? Student A : I can . Teacher: What can you do? Student B : I can . Teacher: What can you do? Student C: I can . When students answer each question, the teacher will ask the students to repeat the key vocabula

10、ries twice. Purposes: The teacher begins the lesson by asking students questions with the purpose of reviewing the language points and leading in this lesson fluently. The teacher lets students study in a relaxing atmosphere and start learning unconsciously by answering questions with all the studen

11、ts. Step Two Presentation Task present and learn the new vocabularies Activity 1:The teacher leads in a scene that Peter has six friends . They can do different things . If you want to know them ,please accept the challenges. Then the 4 teacher introduces the five advance challenges. Activity 2: “Sh

12、arpening your axe will not delay your job of chopping wood.”the teacher says, “Now lets learn the new vocabularies first.” Activity 3: The teacher presents a picture of swimming.The students look at the picture and understand the meaning of “swim”. The students will listen to the recording and read

13、. The same way to leads in other key vocabularies. Whenleads in “ speak English”, the teacher organize the students say “Hello” to the bird. And the teacher guides them what is the special of parrot. When talk about “English” ,the teacher hold in an English book and says “ This is an English book.”

14、The students will understand “ English” in a certain scene. The teacher should remain them is the writing of “ English.” Purpose The pictures are good helper in learning new vocabularies. The students remember them in a good vision. It is easy to remember and understand. The students are environment

15、 friendly when they say “Hello” to the parrot. Activity 4 The teacher organizes handwriting and guide the students how to write in a right way. Step three Practice Task read the new vocabularies Activity 1 Take the challenge one . The students who put up their hands will read the vocabularies. If th

16、e students pronounce wrong, the teacher should correct the errors , especially when they read the word “English”. If the students do well, the teacher should praise them. Activity 2 Take the challenge two. The students will read the words all together. And the students will do the actions when they

17、read. For example, they will do a swimming action when they read the vocabulary “swim”. Activity 3 Take the challenge three. Match the pictures and the vocabularies or the phrase. The teacher will asks some students to share their answers. 5 Activity 4 Challenge three called Guess. The students gues

18、s what Peters friends can do using the new vocabularies. Talk about this in a four-person group. Activity 5 The teacher guides the students to say the key sentences on Page 32. For example, the teacher guides the sentence “ Tom can swim.”And the students will listen to the recording and read loudly.

19、 Step four Production Task Apply the new vocabularies and sentences in a certain scene. Activity 1 Change the sentences with pairs. The students can discuss with his or her deskmate. The teacher guides the students to change the sentences on Page 32 into another four sentences. For example , change

20、the sentence “ Tom can swim.” into “ He can swim.” to understand the using of the third person, especially the using of “ it”. Then the students will read the sentences all together. Purpose The students will improve their ability that they can learn new knowledge from one instance. Activity 2 Chall

21、enge four. Dance and read. The students will dance and read the sentences. The teacher also can beat out a rhythm when they read. Activity 3 Challenge five. Look at the form and discuss what the persons can do in a four-person group. The teacher will go near by the students and take part in them may

22、be. Activity 4 Say something according to the form. Some students are asked to talk about what the person in the form can do. The can say “. can .” or “ He/She/It can .”The is as following. 6 Step five Summary Activity 1 The teacher guides the students to summarize and encourages them to say somethi

23、ng. Activity 2 The teacher summarizes what we have learned this lesson. Step six Homework Make a survey about what your families can do and take a report tomorrow. Read and recite the vocabularies and sentences. Write the new vocabularies on your exercise book. Reflection After this lesson the stude

24、nts learned and known the meaning and pronounce of new vocabularies, such as swim, sing, cook, speak, English , the phrase speak English. And the students could apply the new vocabularies or phrase into the sentences to talk about what others can do. If the students did well , the teacher would prai

25、se them. If someone were afraid of talking, the teacher would encourage him. The lesson was planed in six steps, such as warming up, presentation, practice, production, summary, and homework based on the PPP method. The teacher applied TBLT method and made little goals in each task for students. The

26、 teacher created five challenges or we 7 can call them games which appealed to the students. The students were happy when they learned the new words or the sentences, because they did the actions while they learned. This activity was based on the TPR method. The students could talk about the form in

27、 each group. But the students were too shy to answer questions. So the teacher should encourage them more to open their mouths. And the students could not pronounce the vocabulary English very well. So the teacher should find some funny or practical ways to help them pronounce correctly.
