10、伸阅读活动。 (1) 在完成课本设计的活动后,考虑到 hobby book 的填写只涉及与本课功能句 和重点词汇有关的部分,一些其他语言细节没有练到。对水平较好的班级,教 师补充提出如下问题,学生带着寻找问题答案的目的,再次阅读短文。 问题 1: How many stamps does Bob have? 问题 2: Why does Bob like skateboarding? 问题 3: Is Bobs mother good at singing? 问题 4: Whats his mother good at? 问题 5: Does Bobs father often go swim
11、ming? 问题 6: What does he often do? 问题 7: Who often goes with him? 问题 8: Does his father catch many fish? 问题 9: The cat can help his father catch fish, cant she? 除了在文章中能找到明确答案的问题,还可以提出其他一些思考题,如: Why cant Bobs father catch any fish? (Because he is not good at it.) Why does Bob make a family hobby book
12、? Do you want to make your own family hobby book? Would you want our class to make a hobby book? Tip: 这些问题的提出是给学生再次阅读短文的机会和新的阅读任务,增加语言 接触的次数。这些问题的设置,不必过于直接,也要有一些变化,如问题 3、5、9 等。留出学生思考的余地。 问题的提出不必由教师操纵,可以请学生踊跃提问,教师从旁指引。 (2) 教师让学生观察全文结构,看看它与以前看过的文章,比如与第三单元第 3 课和 Fun Time 的文章在结构上有没有太大不同之处,引导学生发现本文只有 一个自
13、然段,而且没有标题。教师请学生思考,给文章起个合适的标题,并告 诉学生标题要代表短文的大意。最后大家集思广益,选出合适的标题。可以参 考的有:Bobs Family Hobby Book, A Boys Familys Hobbies 等。 Tip: 本短文与之前各个单元的第 3 课的课文相比较,文章篇幅短,只有一个自 然段,结构简单,功能句复现率高,文中难词少。所以学生理解与掌握文章大 意会相对容易。 教师在这种情况下,要提供不同层面的阅读要求,让学生多读又不厌读,争取 在有限的课堂教学时间内提高学生语言表达的准确度。 新词汇学习 over: 在此处是“多”的意思,英语解释是 more th
14、an。 cool: 在此不是指“(天气)凉爽” ,而是“很酷”的意思,汉语的这个“酷”字 也是来自英文的这个词的音译。 be good at: 擅长做。要整体记忆。 never: 从不,这个词常与 any起用于否定句。例如:He never makes any models. 这个词在第五单元是要重点学习的,这里点到为止。 文化背景知识 What is a hobby? A hobby is an activity you like to do during free time for fun. A hobby is anything you do for pleasure. A hobby
15、could include travelling, bird watching, hiking, backpacking and fishing. Juggling, dancing, singing, poetry reading and storytelling are good if you like performing arts while collecting stamps, coins or anything you like would be ideal if you like collecting-related hobbies. 5. 朗读训练。 (1) 学生听录音跟读短文
16、。 (2) 学生自行朗读短文。 (3) 同伴互相朗读并评价。 (4) 教师选择不同能力水平的三组学生展示,检查学生的朗读情况,必要时给 予一定指导。水平不高的学生往往在朗读时不会断句,不能按照意群划分的不 同要求来流畅朗读。教师要不断地教给学生方法,并提高他们这方面的意识, 帮助他们细心感受在句子中单词读音的微妙变化。 Tip: 在学生自行朗读之前,教师可以根据学生情况,选择多播放几遍录音,让 学生有更多的模仿机会,从而提高学生的朗读能力。 备选活动备选活动 问题大比拼(Question time ) 教师根据课文的特点,结合第 1 课复习的以前学过的词汇,编写一个 hobby book。利用
17、课件展示给全班,或按照组别复印给每个组一份。 具体操作:教师限定学生在两分钟内完成短文阅读。然后关闭课件页面或要求 他们把阅读材料翻过来倒放在桌面上。把每个组再分成两个对垒,或者把全班 分成男女生两个阵营。双方都凭借记忆力轮流问答,如:男生先提问,题目正 确得一分,女生若回答正确也得一分,然后轮到女生提问,男生回答。 教师的课堂用语:Please read the passage in two minutes.
