Part one: Analysis of the teaching materials This class is th

2、e period of sectionB,proverbs ,primary school English book6,PEP. This class is mainly about the proverbs. The students in grade six have already mastered some words about the life and the proverbs. In the study of this part, we focus on listening, speaking, reading, writing and so on . Its closely r

3、elated to Ss real life.So Ss can learn it easily and happily. Based on the analysis of the teaching material ,I set up the following three objectives: 1.Knowledge objectives:Ss can read and understand the proverbs. 2.Ability objectives: Ss can master more proverbs by the literal meaning. Interpretin

4、g proverbs is a way to get to know the culture of a country. 3.Emotion objectives:A proverb is a culture.Increase the Ssinterests and set up self-confidence in language study. According to the new curriculum standard, the teaching key points and difficult points are as follows: Key and difficult poi

5、nts: 1.Key points: Ss can read and understand the proverbs. 2.Difficult points: Ss can master more proverbs by the literal meaning.Interpreting proverbs is a way to get to know the culture of a country. Part two: Analysis of the students In order to make the Ss real master of the class,now I will an

6、alyze my Ss. Ss in Grade 6 have learnt English for more than 3years.They have accumulated some basic English knowledge.They have curiosity about English and they are willing to speak English.They can do some actions under the teachers guidance,but they cant use English flexibly.Their abstract thinki

7、ng is still not fully mature;theirimagethinkingoccupiesanimportant position in learning.Pupils are emulative and active ,and have strong collective sense of honor. I will take all these factors into consideration. There is more emotion in the teaching of proverbs education. Part three: The teaching

8、methods In order to break through the key points and difficult points,task-basedlanguagemethod,situational teaching method and TPR method will be adopted to finish my teaching. These teaching methods will help attract Ssinterest to the class. Part four: Teaching procedures Based on Ss physiological

9、and characteristics,I design the following teaching. Step1.Warm-up After daily greetings,I will show Ss some pictures and talk about: How was your weekend? Where did you go? What did you do last weekend? Who did you go with?This step helps Ss review what they have learnt last period. Step2.Presentat

10、ion a. I will show some pictures of daily life.Then Iwill tell them “We can do many things,if we want.No matter the kind of situation is that Thanksgiving should live.Life is colourful.” b. I show the proverb of “Life is what you make it.”Then I will show some different pictures that help my student

11、s try to learn and understand the proverb. 1.HaveSslookatthePPT.Springisatimeof sowing. .Autumn is a time of harvest.If you dont hard-working,youllgetnothing.Whatgoes around.Comes around. Look at their faces, why they laugh,they are happy,they enioy their life. Show the another one proverb “No pain,

12、no gain.” 2. Art is long,life is short.Live and learn.What is your dream?What do you want to be? Have Ss describe their dreams .There is always something for you to learn in your life.Take time while time is,for time will away. 3. As a student,do you enjoy your life? Do you work hard for your study?

13、 What do you do for your parents? Have Ss talk about their understanding about life through these questions. 4. The Labour Day is coming.Do you have a plan?Where do you want to go? What do you want to do? Review the traffic ways and lead in the proverb”All roads lead to Rome.”Ill show some travel ph

14、otos and have Ss understand how to enjoy their life. 5. Protect environment or destroy environment. What is the earth like in your eyes? Having been taught to be tidy since I was a child and urged never to drop litter around.But there are some people and some factories pollute the environment.”What

15、you reap what you sow.” After all, we have only one earth to live on, and it is very important to take care of environment. After all, we have only one earth, and we should do our best to protect it, not only for ourselves, but for future generations as well. 6. Cherish life.An apple a day keeps the

16、 doctor away. c.Have Ss read and do after me. No pain,no gain.Live and learn. Art is long,life is short.All roads lead to Rome. What you reap what you sow. An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Life is what you make it. Step3.Practice 1. Expand. Do you know these proverbs? Practice makes perfect. No

Step4.Summary Ask Ss to sum up what they have lerned today by themselves,have a chant and I will make an assessment. In the face o

18、f an active life, and life will be As You Like It, as in the morning, the sun will still rise as time. These self improvement activities will help you become more productive, get into the positive state of mind and achieve better quality of life. Step5.Homework. a. Have Ss try to look for more proverbs. b. Have Ss share their proverbs and thoughts with everyone. Part five: Blackboard design In order to make Ss remember the key points more easily ,I write the key words and sentence patterns on the blackboard. Blackboard design: Proverbs Life is what you make it.
