3、 : Conversation Getting ready Bring in a variety of objects, e.g. a microscope for science, an English dictionary or paints for art and old pictures, books and maps for history, etc. Write the school subjects across the top of the board. T: Do you like math? (Write 1+2=3 on the board.) I like math.

4、Its fun. Continue with other regalia to introduce science, English, art and history. Step 2 : Using the book T: (point to the first picture.)Look at the picture. T: whats that? (point to jennys book.) Ss: its a book. Thats right. Its her science book. (Point to the science materials in the classroom

5、). T: lets listen to the tape. (Play the dialog once.) T: lets listen again and repeat. Play the tape, pausing after each sentence to have Ss repeat. Read out the dialog. Sentence by sentence, and ask for volunteers to repeat the sentences. Step 3 : Extension activity TB p.54 Step 4 : Vocabulary Get

6、ting ready Put picture cards 25-32 on the board. T: look at the picture cards. Say each word as you hold up the picture cards. T: now listen and repeat. Hold up each picture card and say the word. Give Ss time to repeat. Using the book T: listen to the tape and repeat. Point to each subject as you s

7、ay it . Play the tape and have Ss repeat. T: is this English? (point to math picture card.) Ss: no, it isnt. its math. Model if necessary.Repeat with several picture cards. Step 5 : Extension activity TB p.54 Step 6 : Target Getting ready Ask for three volunteers. Put the picture cards on the board.

8、 T: Do you like science? s1: no, I dont.what subjects do you like? s1: I like(P.E.). (Have s1 point to the picture cards.) Do the same for s2 and others if time permits. Using the book Have Ss point to the first picture of Gogo and jenny. Model the dialog. Have Ss point to the second picture of Gogo and Tony.Ask two Ss to model the dialog. Repeat with third dialog. Play the tape and pause after each sentence, allowing Ss to repeat. Step 7 : Extension activity TB p.54 Step8 : Optional activity TB p.56
