In this part, Then I show the pictures toteach the

7、new words and use TPR method to practise them.Then,letschant together like this:North,north,point up;South,south ,point down;West,west,pointleft;East,east,point right.After that,Can you help Piggy find theapple?Follow the directions below and draw arrows on the map.Ask Ss todraw arrows to help the P

8、iggy find the apple.The intention of doing this isto consolidate the new words and phrases.These all lay a solid foundationto the next step.Ss observe the pictures carefully and try to describe. Sslisten to the tape and answer some simple questions, Ss read after the tape,or read on their own, then

9、answer some hard questions. The intention ofdoing this is to develop Ss abilities of observing, listening, speaking andreading.Step Three, Consolidation. Ss role-play the conversations, read thequestions and answers. Ss try to fill in the mind map. The intention ofdoing thisis to develop Ss abilitie

10、s of thinking and acting.Step Four Practice activity. In this part, Ss try to fill in the blanksaccording to the conversation. I will extend some connected knowledgeabout directions.Ss look at the map of China and try to describe thedirections of different provinces of China.Ss try to make newconver

I conclude what we have learned in this class, andtell Ss the ways to mark and recognize directions.Step Six, Homework.a.Take notes carefully.b.Draw a picture of our town and try to describe the directions of ourschool,the supermarket and so on.c.Practise the conversations.The intention is to activate Ss interest in doing and learning in order touse the knowledge we learn.
