1、高中英语教学的一点感悟高中英语教学的一点感悟内容摘要:针对学生的基本学情:英语学习起步晚;缺乏英语思维习惯;英语口语意识不强;课外英语知识接触少。要想打造有效课堂,让学生活学活用英语知识,结合学校课时安排的实际,教师首先要充分利用好手中的教材教参,再者尽可能地多给学生一些学习英语方面的建议与方法指导,多给学生创造一些接触英语的机会。关键词:基本学情 英语思维习惯 口语意识 有效课堂 教材教参 载体 建议与方法作为一名资历尚浅的青年英语教师,就高中英语教学方面而言,说不上什么经验之类的,今天我只想谈谈近期的一点感悟,不成系统,希望能与志同道合者共勉。 自从2006年开始使用北师大版英语教材以来,
2、已有近十个年头了,我一直都在思考如何让我们的学生尽快适应并利用好这套新教材,针对我所在学校学生的基本学情:英语学习起步晚;缺乏英语思维习惯;英语口语意识不强;课外英语知识接触少。要想打造有效课堂,不仅让学生活学活用英语知识,更要了解掌握一些说英语国家的社会文化知识,实在不是一件容易的事。结合学校课时安排的实际,我觉得教师首先要充分利用好手中的教材教参,再者尽可能地多给学生一些学习英语方面的建议与方法指导,多给学生创造一些接触英语的机会。那么,具体如何实施呢?下面我想结合教学实践说说我的做法。首先,充分利用课本。教材是知识和能力的载体,我所理解的教学,并不仅仅指教授教材的内容,而是借助教材这个载
3、体,交给学生方法,以应对灵活多样的题目。翻阅北师大的教材目录,你一定会发现这套教材编写特点:每个单元都是language focus 与skills focus 交替设计,并在language focus 的课文中渗透相应的语法内容。比如模块一主要是tenses,而Unit6-Unit8 focus on Relative Clauses.曾经听说本土说英语的人平时也不太讲究语法,所以有时不免淡化英语语法教学。近来了解到明年开始取消自主命题,统一使用全国卷,英语试卷题型也会有相应的调整:取消单项选择题和任务型读写,增加填词题和短文改错。这样看来,我们在以后的教学中要更加重视英语语法讲解,再结合
4、具体的学案练习,多操练才能让学生尽快适应新题型,以便更好地与新题型接轨。前面我已经列举了部分语法知识所在的模块和单元,我相信大家都会对应地借助课文这个载体去教授语法知识的,这些应该比较容易做到吧!但是在讲解语法类题目的过程中,我发现学生对The Use of Non-Predicate Verbs(非谓语动词的用法)非常陌生,做题过程中但凡涉及此类题型,几乎全军覆没。每有碰到都会耐心讲解,学生仍然似懂非懂的样子,令我十分苦恼。反复研究北师大教材后,我在书中找到了答案,主要集中在模块七Unit21 Lesson3 Epidemics Explained. The following are th

9、 ( Adverbial of Purpose )以上我所列出的例句都源于课本,如果我们在分析课文时融入语法方面的讲解,一定会达到事半功倍的效果的!对于典型的句子甚至可以建议学生背诵下来。再者,多给学生提供学习英语的建议与方法,多给学生创造接触英语的机会。达尔文说过,“关于方法的知识是最重要的知识”。许多专家学者的体会也是这样,即怎样学比学什么更重要。多年的高中英语教学给了我这样的体会:进入高中阶段后学生要尽快做好初、高中英语学习的衔接;对于英语基础比较差的学生,教师要想办法尽量降低教学内容的难度,尝试真正适合学生水平的教学方法,正所谓“因材施教”,“教无定法”!下面我就挑两个案例跟大家分享一
10、下吧!案例一:多次考试后我分析了一些英语成绩较好的学生答题情况,发现一个共同的问题:平时单词、短语、语法知识掌握得相当好的学生,在阅读理解这项的得分却不高。与学生谈心后才得知:他们一读到结构较复杂的稍长些的句子就束手无策,不知所云。因为初中阶段所涉及的句子相对来说要简单的多。为了应对这个难题,我经常借助课本上的长难句,给学生分析句子成分、结构;许多句子可以去掉那些修饰的成分、插入语之类,将长句子缩减为最核心的成分,这样含义就一目了然了!eg 1. The bodies of people who had died in Pompeii left impressions in the ash t
11、hat showed their exact shapes. (Unit 16 Lesson1)这个句子我们可以缩减为:The bodies of people showed their exact shapes.eg2. The chances that we will all have the opportunity to live in an English speaking country are small. (Unit 19 Lesson 1) 同样地,我们可以缩减为:The chances are small.另外在讲解名词性从句时,我们经常会遇到一个词“what”,可学生总是不
12、理解。对于千变万化的“what”我也在课本中找到了依据,终于可以让学生相信“海量的试题都是源于课本呀”!eg1. For example, it could be “Shanghai Sewing Machine”, or “Tsing Tao Beer Corporation”, and you would know what the companies sell, where they are located, and the brand names. 14、例二:许多学生在初中时都有过背诵课文的经历,可是北师大高中英语教材文章都比较长,尤其从模块三开始。为了节约学生的宝贵时间,提高学习效率,我时常会从课文中挑选一些经典优美的句子让学生熟读,此外,有些适合缩减的文章我也会教学生巧借动词及短语来记住他们。比如Unit 3 lesson 4 Christmas Unit 17 Lesson 3 My Favourite Comedy.eg1. On Christmas Eve, the whole family helped to decorate the house, put up the Christmas tree, my two cousins
15、 arrived, left some wine and biscuits, put our stockings at the end of our beds, try to stay awakeeg2. After being seated, Mr Bean takes out a card, writes a few words, seals it, places it on the table, looks back, looks surprised, opens it to find a birthday card, looks at the menu, takes all the m
16、oney out, counts it ,orders a dish, makes an attempt to eat it, cant hide his feelings 最后,我想说作为高中英语教师一定要多给学生创造接触英语的机会。我们都知道学习语言最重要的是本土的语言环境,但对于大部分同学而言这并不现实,所以老师要多营造这样的氛围,让学生在潜移默化中学习英语,说英语。比如每天的英语课堂可以由介绍英语谚语开始,最好是激励学生积极向上的。eg1. Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.其次,每个学期我们可以利用课外时间,选择一些英文比较纯正的电影播放给学生观看,For example, Tinker Bell; Roman Holiday; Ghost Frozen. 在陪学生观看的过程中,总会隐约听到学生不知不
18、觉地模仿影片中的台词,看来还是有点成效的!第三,我们可以充分利用校广播站的功能,播放一些经典英文歌曲eg , Yesterday once more; Better man; Right here waiting ;My heart will go on; Take me to your heart and so on。通过反复播放,反复聆听,让学生达到耳熟能详的效果。这无疑将极大提高学生的听力和口语水平。总之,我们要好好利用手中的教材,身边的一切资源来调动学生的积极性学英语,相信皇天不负有心人!最后,还是套用一句英语谚语吧:Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase it, we can catch excellence. 4 / 44
