The emotional aims: Arouse students interest in learning English; Enable the students to communicate with others; Through various activities in class,students can learn to cooperate and know they can also do a lot of things to help

Grade 7 students has just learnt English for one term, they are fond of different kinds of activities,but sometimes they are shy and dare to express

6、their ideas,so teacher should encourage them and try his/her best to set all kinds of games,songs ,pictures to arouse students interest. 2.Teaching methods According to the new national curriculum standard,the schema theory and student centered teaching idea, I adopt the following teaching methods:c

7、ommunicative teaching method,cooperative teaching method.task-based teaching method. 3.Learning methods: To master the phrases by guessing,reading and playing games. To master the sentence structure by using,practicing and doing exercises. 4. Teaching aids: A computer and a projector as my teaching

8、aids to facilitate my teaching. 三 Teaching procedures Step1.Review and Lead-in Task1. As we can see,once the students interest is aroused in the beginning,the whole class will go through more smoothly. Today is Friday,so Ill ask them “Are you happy?” and then I will tell them I am happy,too. Cause t

9、oday is Friday,a happy weekend is waiting for us. Task2. Show students the title of the unit and the present progressive tense we are going to learn. “Im watching TV”. From the title,we can see what is present progressive tense,that is add ing after a verb and “be” before the verb. In order to revie

10、w some words and expressions we have learnt before. I will play a game with students. That is I act and students say it in English about what I am doing. Then I will put these words on the blackboard for students to use in laters activities. I am drinking water He/She/It/Tom is drawing a picture The

11、y/We/My parents are writting Task3. Now I show a picture of our TuanJie Middle School which is being built.Then ask students whether they want to go into our future school and look what the students and teachers doing.But if they want to go,they need to learn a magic song “Are you sleeping” to open

12、the door of our future school. Task 4.Students learn and sing the English song “Are you sleeping”.Then I ask them “Are you sleeping?” “So,What are you doing?” Step2.Presentation Task1. Words and expressions Now,students can sing the song,then they can come into our Tuan Jie Middle School and have a

13、look at what people are doing.In order to help students learn the new expressions.Ill show some pictures on the screen.Picture 1.Two people are watching TV.Picture 2.Mr.Kuang is reading a newspaper. Picture 3.Mr.Wu is using the computer.Picture4.Two girls are making soup. First students say these ph

14、rases in English,then I will ask them “what is he/she doing? What are they doing?” They answer it with the sentence structure: “She/He is+V-ing;They/We are+V-ing”.Then read these phrases together. Task 2. Match the activities with the pictures Give students 1 minute to finish 1a. And then check the

15、answers one by one. Task 3.Words game. Give students 1 minute to memorize these nine phrases.Then we will play a game,that is “quick eyes”. I will show the picture on the screen,and when students see the first picture,if they know how to say it in English,then stand up and speak it loudly, the stude

16、nts who stand the most times will be the winner. Then we can see who is the King of Memory. Task 4.Listening. First,tell students that Jenny,John,Dave and Mary are all my friends.Today I want to ask them out,but I dont know whether they are free or not.So after finish listening,you need to tell me w

17、hat are they doing. I will check the answers by asking some of them.Then,students say the sentences:1.Jenny is watching TV. 2.John is washing the dishes. 3.Dave and Mary are listening to a CD. Task 5. Game time In order to help students use the target language. 4 students as a group. One or two stud

18、ents act,and another students use the sentence structure to ask and answer questions. “ What is he/she doing?” They/We are+V-ing”. The group which can use the target language correctly and have natural performance will get students big hand. The activity aims to train students cooperative learing an
