At that time, Luo noticed that environmental issues were becoming more serious, but few actions were being taken to address the situation. She

2、decided to join environmental protection efforts, so that future generations may also enjoy nature. Now, Luo, 36, works at China Green Foundation (CGF) an NGO that raises money to promote reforestation (再造林) and mobilize (动员) participants in environmental protection. Its also active beyond China. Wh

3、ile working at CGF, Luo served as chair of the Civil Society Organization Panel of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (联合国防治沙漠化公约). This allowed her to attend UN meetings. Luos main work focuses on the Million Forest project. Launched 10 years ago, the project aimed to plant 1 m

4、illion trees to help manage the problem of desertification around Chinas fourth-largest desert, the Tengger Desert of Inner Mongolia. The ongoing project has exceeded (超过) its original goal.
