3、ask the students that how to add “ing” after these words. There are three rules. What are they? Can you find out? Ask the students to find out the rules. A. 1+1=2 , such as “play+ ing = playing”. B. Delete the silent “e”, then add “ing”: having, dancing. C. Double the last letter: swimming, running.
