Unit3 After school activities(lets spell) Teaching plan Status and function: The lesson is the fourth period of Unit 3. knowledge aims: to enable the students to master the new phonic/u/. And they can read:note、bone、pole、nose、home、rope。They can know the difference between/u/ and /. Ability aims:to develop the students abilities of reading and writing, to train the students abilities of using language, to guide the students to read different phonics. Emotional aims:to arouse the students interest in learning English. Teaching key points:to enable students read the new phonic/u/ and some words. Difficult points:how to pronounce the phonic/u/ correctly ,and know the difference between/u/ and /”. Teaching methods: multimedia computer assisted instruction(多媒体计算机辅助教学), task-based activities(任务型教学法),group instruction method . Teaching procedures: Step 1 Greeting. Students and teacher greet each other. For example:teacher say:good morning class. Students say:good morning Miss Chen. Step 2 Warm-up Lets sing a phonics. A A apple .B B ball. CC cat .D D dog Step 3 lets review In unit1we have learned letter A, so we know A we can pronounce/, and its original sound/e/. For example:/apple. /e/ /e/ cake. In unit2we have learned letter I, so we know we can pronounce/i/ and its original sound /ai/ For example:/i/ /i/it. /ai /ai/ like. Step 4 New lesson (1)A.listen ,point and say. First,I show the letter O for the students,and ask students to read the letter O. pronounce / Second, I show the picture (ox)ask students:can you give me some words include(ox)?students give some words:fox box. I show the picture(ot) ask students:can you give me some words include(ot) ?students give some words:hot pot cot dot not So we know O we can pronounce/,today we will learn another pronunciation. first lets listen the CD, listen carefully,in this words how to pronounce O. after the listen,we can know that O we can pronounce its original sound /u/. And then I teach students how to pronounce the words: note 、bone、pole、 nose、home、rope After that I use many ways to practice. For example:1、I say words home,students show me the letter(h)and(ome). 2、First they read the postfix,then they read the first letter,for example(one) (one) (bone) , (ome) (ome) (home)just like this.3、find some little teachers. (2)Now lets move to B. listen and circle First we read this words together,and then play the CD,ask some students give answer. (3)Next one is C. listen write and say I play the CD , after that,ask some students give answer. (4)The last one is D. listen and repeat First I play the CD,then ask some students to read it. Who can read sentence1?Who can read sentence2? Second,ask students to circle words,which are pronounce /u/ They are :home、 joke、bone、nose、rope Step 5 is Summarize and homework. Today we know(O)we can pronounce/,we can pronounce its original sound /u/./orange. /u/ /u/nose. Homework :listen and read P27 Blackboard design: Unit3 After school activities(lets spell) Review note bone Girls: ppt pole nose Boys: home rope After lesson reflection: Phonics are very difficult for the students. In the class they read Phonics /u/ and /,after class some students cant read it. So I think we should spend more time to read and listen. They need teachers help and encouragement in their further study .
