Listen and say the chant . 外研社外研社 2011 课标版(一起)一年级下册课标版(一起)一年级下册 Module 5 Unit 2 Its thin. 教学设计教学设计 1. 教材分析教材分析 本课 Its thin.是外语教学与研究出版社出版的英语(新标准一年级起点) 一年级下册第五模块第二单元。本模块的话题是描述动物的特征。本课的课 文是 Daming 和 Sam 的对话。在文中,Daming 和 Sam 一起看农场里猪一家, 边看边描述猪爸爸,猪妈妈,猪宝宝们的特征。本课的学习重点是描述动物的 特征。 2. 学情分析学情分析 一年级学生在本模块第一次接触用形容词描述动物。他们需要大量练习来 理解,巩固。这些形容词,孩子们在平时课内外的学习中已经有接触,有积累, 因此,运用形容词对孩子们来说是重点,但不是难点。本课,对学生来说难点 在正确区分运用 Its Theyre本课文中,描述猪爸爸,猪妈妈,用到 Its 描述猪宝宝,因为数量多,用到 Theyre。 Its 在上学期就学习了。Theyre 在本模块第一单元也学习了。它们都不是新知识。但是,仍然有孩子会错用。 在练习的时候,老师要注意引导学生观察,巩固 Its 和 Theyre 的不同。采用游 戏活动、看图描述等多种形式来帮助学生巩固和掌握。教师结合平时学习的英 语绘本,设计了“animal world adventure”的运用任务,请学生们运用“Its/ Theyre big/ fat/ thin/ little”来描述绘本中出现的动物,使他们能够在真实运用 英语的过程中即复习了绘本,又掌握本课的目标语句,从而达到本课的教学目 标。 3. 设计理念设计理念 本节课我采用的是“以演激趣,绘本助力的教学模式”,结合本课话题 描述动物的特征,创设与绘本相近的 jungle 情境,通过 animal world adventure 的运用任务,让学生带着明确的学习目的主动参与到本课的语言学习 中来,让学生在用中学,培养学生运用英语做事情的能力以及综合语言运用能 力。 4. 教学目标教学目标 1) 语言知识目标:语言知识目标: 功能描述动物的特征。 语法全体学生能够运用 Look at the Its Look at the Theyre。 词汇全体学生能够理解 big, fat,thin, little 运用 big, fat,thin, little。 语音感知课文的语音语调。 2) 语言技能目标:语言技能目标: 全体学生能够听懂、能说 Look at the Its . Look at the Theyre并认读 big,fat, thin, little。 3) 运运 用:用: 全体学生能运用“big,fat, thin, little”描述动物的特征。 4) 学学 习习 策策 略:略: 遇到问题能主动向老师或同学请教。 5) 文文 化化 意意 识:识: 热爱动物,爱护动物的情感。 6) 情情 感感 态态 度:度: 在小组活动中能与其他同学积极配合。 7) 任务:任务: 通过幸运大搜索的随机抽取形式,小组合作完成 animal world adventure。 5. 重点难点重点难点: 1)重点重点: 全体学生能够理解运用 Look at the Its . Look at the Theyre.描述动物 的特征。 2)难点难点: 准确区分运用 Its Theyre来描述动物。 理解,运用“Its fat/ big / thin / little”描述动物。 6. 教学过程教学过程 I. Warm-up and lead-in 1. Warm-up Sing:Listen, and sing with actions. . Walking through the jungle: Walking through the jungle, what do you see ? I think I see a lion. Roar roar roar Chasing after me. 【设计意图:采用学生喜爱的绘本表演唱的形式,调整学生状态。同时,回顾 动物单词,为学习新知做好充分的语言准备。】 2. Lead-in (Activity 1) 1) Look and say. Show the kids pictures of animals. Let the kids say quickly. T: Today well learn Module 5 unit2. Well learn to describe the animals. 【设计意图:以抢答绘本中的动物,激发学生学习的兴趣,提高了学生的注意 力。】 2) Learn the new word “fat” ”big”. Let the kids watch the CD-ROM.Learn the chant of U2. Then teach the word. T: Watch and find out :what animals can you see in the chant. 【设计意图:通过看动画片学 chant, 呈现新单词“fat”big”,并通过动作解释 帮助学生理解含义。】 3)Start Group Competition. T: Lets play”Im the first”. 【设计意图:将学生划分小组,通过小组竞赛的形式,提升学生学习兴趣,提 高学习效率。】 II. Task Presentation T: In Module 5 Unit 1 Daming and Sam went to grandpas farm.Today they are going to see the pigs family. Lets go with them.And learn to describe the anmials.Then well have an animal world adventure. 【设计意图:学生明确本课学习目标和运用任务后,带着目的主动学习新知, 将大大提升学习效果。】 III. Text learning (Activity 2) 1. Listen and get the general ideas. 1)Listen and choose. Then learn the word: thin. T: First lets watch the dialogue.And find out: What is the father pig like? What is the mother pig like? (Put the pictures of the main characters on the Bb. Play the cartoon for the first time.) (Read it one by one. Then read it in 2, in 4, or in six. While reading, Put the pictures next to the characters) 【设计意图:让学生带着问题听录音,有利于学生注意力的提高。通过学生 回答问题,理解并集中操练本课重点句。】 Practise :Look at the picture and describe by using :Look at the Its/Theyre thin. (PPT show the pictures) 【设计意图:学了立即练习。通过图片描述,理解并巩固运用 thin.】 2)Learn the new word: little. (Take out the pictures of baby pigs.T: How many baby pigs. (Stick the two cards on the Bb.) Look at the baby pigs. One is big. Five are little. (Teach the word:little. ) Practise : Look at the picture and describe by using :Look at the .Its/Theyre little 【设计意图:学了立即练习。通过图片描述,理解并巩固运用 little.】 T:Now,look at the baby pigs.One is big.Five are little. When we describe one thing,we use :is(teacher stick the card:is on the Bb).More than one ,we use “are”(stick the card:are ) Now Ive two pictures .Can you describe them ? Ss look at the pictures and describe them. 【设计意图:强调 is , are 的用法。通过描述图片,练习重点知识,突破难点。 】 T :We also can describe the baby animalss colour.Lets see the baby pigs. Ss:Two are black. Four are pink. 【设计意图:通过描述图片,练习从颜色方面描述动物。】 2. Listen and repeat. 1) Follow the cartoon sentence by sentence. 2) Then read after the tape. 3) After that, practice in groups. 4) Then have a group reading show. Compete with other groups. 【设计意图:在课文跟读、分角色读、小组朗读练习、以及小组朗读展示的过 程中,使学生对本单元的目标词汇及语句有较好的把握,培养学生的语感,为 下一步的任务完成做准备。】 3. Act the dialogue 1). Learn to play it: T: You did a good job. Lets act the dialogue. Now lets see how to play this game.( Watch the VCR made before class about how to play the game.) Are you clear? Youll have 2 minutes to play. Ready? Go! 2). Play it in groups. (walk around to offer help and encouragement. After 2 minutes, get their attention and congratulate the winners of each group.) 【设计意图:表演是符合低年级孩子的年龄特点的。它能充分发挥孩子的能动 性,使他们保持高涨的学习情绪,学习更多的知识,并获取知识与技能之外的 综合素养。通过表演,强化对课文的理解和学习。提高课堂效率。】 IV. Task completion 1. Give an example: T: Now, its time for our animal world adventure. First,choose group at random as the lucky dogs. And then sing the picture book and take the adventure. Please watch the example. the whole class sing : Waling through the jungle. What do you see ? S1 : I think I see a father lion. Its big. S2: I think I see a mother lion. Its thin. S3: I think I see baby lions. Theyre little. S4:I think I see baby lions. Theyre little. All: Roar,roar Ss:Chasing after me. T: Got it?
