Module 8 Unit 2 The horse is turning around. 【学情分析】 本班学生从一年级下册开始学习英语,英语基础并不是很好, 但是学习英语的兴趣还是比较浓厚。这个单元是描述正在发生的动 作,学生在前面几个单元有过相关的学习。 【教学目标】 1. 语言知识目标 单词: 1. 全部学生理解:turn, around, turn around, ground, again, jump, back, come back 2. 全部学生会运用:again,jump, back, come back 3. 部分学生会运用:turn, around, turn around, ground 语音:感知现场新闻报道的语音语调。 2. 语言技能目标 听:能听懂 The horse is turning around. 说:能说 The horse is turning around. 读:全部学生能认读:again, jump, back, come back 部分学生能认读:turn, around, turn around, ground 3. 情感态度目标 乐于感知并积极尝试使用英语。 【教学意图】 1.增加已学知识的复现率,培养学生对重点词汇和句子的认读 能力。 2.培养学生的说唱能力,活动具有一定的灵活性。 3.通过多种形式的活动激发学生的学习兴趣。 【教学过程】 Step 1 Warming-up Watch a video and sing an English song Animals in Actions. While singing, doing actions. Step 2. Presentation 1. Present a picture of a zoo. “Do you like the zoo? Today, lets go to the zoo!” 2. Listen and guess “What animal is it?” 3. Present pictures of horse and horses, and teach students the new word horse. Ask them to pay attention to the sound of or, and teach them some words that contain or. (phonics) Step 3. Text-learning 1. Show a picture of Xiaohu. “Xiaohu is at the zoo. What is he doing now?” Lead students to pay attention to whats in Xiaohus hand. 2. Watch the video of activity 2 to know something about the text. 3. Listen and teach students to read the sentences one by one. 4. Listen, point and say. Read the sentences in different ways (boys and girls, groups, the whole class, a single student). Step 4 Practice. 1. Ask some students to be the reporter to report the horse show. 2. Prepare some pictures and some words. Ask students to pick one picture and one word, then read out the sentence. 3. Group work. One student does actions, and the other four students report. Or one student reports and the other four students do actions. And at last show in front of the class. 4. Watch two videos of horse racing to know the differences between Chinese horse racing and Western horse racing. Step 7 Activity 1 1. Watch a video of activity one. 2. Teach students to read the sentences one by one. 3. Listen and do the actions. Step 8 Homework Read the text and do a report with parents help.
