Module 4 Unit 2 Will it be hot in Haikou? 教学设计教学设计 一、教学内容一、教学内容 本课教学内容为外研版新标准 Book4 Module4 Unit 2 Will it be hot in Haikou? 本模块学习一般将来时的表达方法,第一单元已经学习了将来时的肯定句,这 一课时复习肯定句,并增加了一般疑问句及其肯定否定回答。本课是以我们天 天面临的天气为语言载体,通过讨论天气的不同来学习这个时态的表达,话题 的取材最贴近生活,使我们的孩子很容易理解接受的。 二、教学目标二、教学目标 1、Knowledgeable aims: 1) All the students can understand and use the words “sunny, hot, rain, cold, snow, windy” that we have learnt, and master the new words cloudy and weather. 2) Students can utilize the key sentence patterns: It will (be)_. Will it (be)_ ? Yes, it will. / No, it wont. 2、Technical ability aims: 1) Understand the sentences: It will (be)_ . Will it (be)_? Yes, it will. / No, it wont. 2) Talk about the daily weather by using the sentences. 3) Students can read the new words cloudy and weather on the base of the words about the weather that learnt before. 3、Emotional aims: 1) Help the students realize the different weather in different places and strengthen the patriotic emotion by showing the map of China. 2) Cultivate the team spirit and cooperative ability of the students. 三、学情分析三、学情分析 本课教学的对象是四年级下期的小学生,通过一年半的学习,他们已经掌 握了一定的词汇量,能听懂一些课堂用语,并能有秩序地参与课堂的游戏和活 动。学生活泼可爱,好奇心强,大多数学生学习态度积极,爱模仿,好表现, 对英语学习充满着浓厚的兴趣,渴望学到更多的知识,以提高自己的语言运用 能力;但是还有的同学基础薄弱说不好或者不敢说。因此,在设计课堂教学活动 时一定要根据学生的情况,采用灵活多样的教学方法来吸引学生的注意力,课堂上 多多鼓励表扬,鼓励他们大胆地表现自己。 四、教学重点四、教学重点 1、Words: cloudy weather 2、Sentence patterns: It will (be)_. T: Good morning, boys and girls. Ss: Good morning, teacher. T: Are you happy? If you are happy you can clap your hands. Students clap their hands together. 2、Sing a song . 3、Review and lead in. T: What will robots do? Show the pictures on PPT and students answer the sentences by using the knowledge that have learnt in Module 3. T: Do you want to know what other things robots will do? Today well learn Module4 Unit2 Will it be hot in Haikou? First, I divide you into two teams. Lets PK! OK? Ss: OK! Step2: New teaching. 1、Presentation of Activity 1 1) Show the pictures of Beijing and London. 2) T: The robot tell me “It will be sunny in Beijing.” and can you tell me the weather in London? Lead to the new word “cloudy”. 2、Learn the new words. 1) Show a picture of clouds cloudy 多云的 Read the word and spell it for the students and let them to drive a train to read and spell it by themselves. After it play a high and low voice game. Teacher and the students say in opposite voice. Then write down cloudy five times a line on the paper. Teacher should look through everyones work. 2) Present several pictures of different weather symbols to teach the new word weather 天气 Pay attention to the pronunciation and teach in games. Teacher and students do the opposite action to clap their hands when say the word. 3) Game Part: Magic Time: Which word is missing? Find out the word. Carrot Down: Students use more words about weather to do this game. 3、New text. 1) Listen and ask. T: Now, a girl and a robot are on the phone. They are talking about the weather of several cities tomorrow. Lets listen to the cartoon carefully and then answer questions. OK? Ss: OK. Ask and answer: T: Will it snow in Shenyang? Students read after the video and try to imitate the pronunciation. 3) Summarize the key point in the text. Will it be windy/sunny/hot/cold in +地点? Students practice reading the text in pairs in different roles and they try to find mistakes for each other then come in front of the class to act it out. Step3: Practice. 1、Play a game: Can you guess? Guess the weather in different cities according to the daily knowledge. 2、Find friends. Match the pictures with the weather symbols. Step4: Summary. 1、Students report what they have learnt in this class. 2、Emotional education. T: We should do group work in our class, and in this way, you can learn from each other.
