E.g. tall, short; fat, thin; big, small etc. Have the Ss make the sentences with the pictures.( 为后面的课文教学做铺垫) 3.Free talk Have the Ss talk about countries and their capitals (the USAan d China) (二)探究新知 Leading Take out a photo of me. Then introduce it. “Its old. Because I was four then. Look, “I

4、 wascute then. Now you can look at me.” Then get the Ss to look at todays story. ( 教师可以通过肢体语言及神情让学生领会这段英语的意思。) Write the sentences on the board.And mark “were, are, was, is” 展示 lingling 的爷爷奶奶 They were young then. I was four then. They are old now. Now I am thirty. Explain to the Ss. We usually use

5、“were, was” when its the past. And using “are, is” when we describe the present. (板书明确,再通过句式操练,学生更容 易理解,并加深印象。) 3. Teach the words with the pictures. Then have the Ss say the sentences with the wards. “Grandparents are grandma and grandpa.” e.g. “Who are they? They are lingling grandparents.” Compar

6、e “now” and “then”. Then say the sentences. Teach “hair” with pointing to Sshair. Explain “Cute means very lovely” Listen to the tape. Then repeat. Have the Ss act out the story in groups. (三)巩固新知 Point and say. Using the multi-media. Have the Ss look at the pictures. Then say the sentences with the

7、 present and the past tense. ( 教师运用多媒体课 件教学,让学生感知语言内容,调动学生的视、听觉,参与学习中来。 ) 2.展示问题,看动画,再点读课文跟读,回答问题。 3.小组练习,请小组表演。 4. Do the Activity Book.Tell the Ss to bring a photo of themselves or their relatives to class. The photo should show them or their relatives when they were young. Then have the Ss come t

9、思:课后反思: 从 Module5 到 Module10 以致五年级上学期学生将一直学习一般过去式,而第五 模块是一个开始模块,是决定学生一般过去时学习好坏的关键,所以我们教研组 商量决定放慢速度,让学生慢慢掌握。 Module5 Unit1 I was two then.主要讲 was 和 were 的用法。 为了让 学生掌握牢固,Unit1 分为三课时讲,第一课时主要讲 was,第二课时讲 were, 第三课时讲课文并进行综合复习。 在第一课时课堂导入部分采用老师自己现在的 和小时候的照片以引起学生足够注意。而在句子教学部分分别用姚明,李宇春等 明星旧时和现在的照片让学生试着用过去式描述,在描述时,涉及人称 I,he,sh e,your hair 等通过板书和引领, 让学生自己总结出本节课的重点句型即 I/第三 人称单数+was+数词/形容词+过去的时间,然后让学生小组讨论造句对该句型进 行练习。最后设计习题,让学生进行堂清。 本节课因为是学生第一次接触一般过去时, 所以学生理解需要一个过 程,但总体来说,学生已经理解什么是过去时,什么情况下用 was,were,效果良 好。
