Unit 3 Redrock Bay Health Club Lesson 2 教学目标: 1、使学生听、说、读、写下列单词: do karate /go swimming/ go skiing /go ice-skating play football / soccer/ baseball / bowing / tennis/ basketball / volleyball work out at the gym 学习句型: What are you doing tomorrow/this weekend? I am 动词 ing tomorrow/ this weekend. What is he/she doing tomorrow? He/She is 动词 ing tomorrow. 2、使学生能够运用be+doing+将来时间 状语的结构询问和回答关于某人最近 几天计划或安排的问题,并在真实情 境下进行简单的英语交流。 3、通过本课学习使学生有兴趣听、说 英语、敢于开口,乐于模仿,在鼓励 性评价中树立信心,在小组活动中积 极参与合作,从而培养学生的语言交 流能力。 4、通过过学习习培养学生热爱热爱 体育运动动 的业业余爱爱好,参与体育活动动,锻炼锻炼 身体。 教学重难点: 1、使学生能够运用be+doing+将来时 间状语的结构询问和回答关于某人最 近几天计划或安排的问题。 2、能运用所学语言知识在真实情境 中进行交流,表达自己的想法。 教学过程 I. Leading in and presentation To introduce the contents about “Did you know?” 通过奥运会主题,自然导入本课“Did you know”内容、本课重点句型和一些相 关运动词汇的学习。 The Olympic symbol of five colored rings was created in 1913. The rings stand for the continents of Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and the Americas. II. Practice 1)Introduce an English reporter. (意图图:复习习所学语语言,为为下一步布置任务务 做 铺垫铺垫 。) 2) Assign the tasks. 任务:争当English reporter,就教师布置 的活动进行采访和报道,做得好的同 学将得到奖励的记者证。 (意图:激发学生的兴趣和求知欲,形成驱 动力,使得学生更热情地投入课堂活动中。 ) Activity I To interview the teacher and classmates about sports. (意图:在真实和半真实情境中,学生用本 课重点的运动词汇和How often句型进行 交流,操练了语言,培养了交流能力,学 与用有机融合。) Activity II To report Ries plan. 完成教材第四项内容 。 (意图:通过让学生以报道的方式:先记录 写下来,再向同学报道的模式完成该项句 型练习,将教材内容自然融合到任务活动 中,而不是为完成习而作练习。) Rie Activity III To report others plans for National Day. (意图:在真实和半真实情境中,学生用 本课重点句型“现在进行时态表示不远的 将来”进行交流,操练了语言,培养了交 流能力,学与用有机融合。) Im reading books on National Day. NameActivitiesHow often Dangoing shoppingonce a week Activity IV To finish the exercises of Part 2 and 3. (意图:让学生们完成书中第2、3部分听 力练习及看图写句练习,然后以记者报道 的方式核对答案,到此听说读写四项技能 全部完成在本课逐步体现出来。) III. Twice a week. ice-skate Every day. do karate On Saturdays. go shopping Once a month. 教学构思: 以小区即将开放健身俱乐部为话题,以获取俱乐部优惠券为任务, 从而以此作为学生的评价奖励方式。 第一:回顾第一课时,口语热身,复现运动名称。 第二:布置任务,设置语言情境,以小区俱乐部开张为话题,通过 课件呈现不同运动的声音,让学生猜测并给予优惠券的评价奖励。 第三:结合课本“Words you Know”的练习,说出本周五晚上俱乐部 的开业大酬宾,引出进行时表将来的句式“What are you doing on Friday night?”重点对比讲解 be+doing 表将来的用法,通过师生问答 练习和小组练习,巩固新用法。再通过老师示范“I go swimming on Sundays.”句子引出频度副词练习,让学生有所了解和掌握。最后再 设计小组调查,完成进行时表将来的句子和周计划的调查,让学生 通过小组练习、全班练习的方式巩固知识,并完成本课听、说、读、 写的各项练习。 教学过程: 1. Warm-up Do free talk about the sports, ask students to name some of them. 复习前 一课时,举例说明运动名称,为下一环节做铺垫。 T: Yesterday, we talked about the Redrock Bay Health club. Can you remember what sports we mentioned in the text? S: They are bowling, skiing, swimming T: Good. There will be a new health club in our neighborhood. I have some coupons. If you do well, youll get them. 设计意图:以课文话题为引子,复习前文中所提及的与运动有关的短 语和单词,进行故事的复现,并引出本课任务:参加小区健身俱乐 部报名。以优惠券为评价手段,在后面环节表现突出即可获得优惠 券。 2. Introduction and Practice Activity1: Get to know(描述运动名称) T: There are many sports in the club. What are they? (PPT: Show the sound of each sport, ask students to guess) S: Ice-skating, doing karate, working out at the gym T:(板书运动名称并领读) Good. Can you name them? S: Look and say the words. T: Now you can get the coupons. 活动一:通过课件播放运动声音,展示健身俱乐部的体育运动,让 学生猜出运动名称,答对的几名同学能够得到“优惠券”的奖励作 为评价的方式。同时教师呈现词条,以个人读、小组读的方式进行 新词汇讲授和操练。 Activity 2: Your plan of this weekend(本周运动计划) T:On Friday night, there will be an opening ceremony. (本周五晚上是 俱乐部开业酬宾健身日) Im swimming this Friday. Do you have any plans? What are you doing then?(板书句型) S:Im playing tennis. 对比讲解现在进行时表将来的用法,以老师的示范句为例,通过半 真实情境的设置,让学生在问答中体会句型的用法。如教师可以举 例说明“Im swimming on this Friday night.”means “Im going swimming.”然后通过询问大家的计划练习该句型。 T:Im so busy with my work. I can go swimming just on Sunday.(词 条:频度副词) How often do you do sports? 通过回答运动计划复习频度副词,并随时板书。 (这一环节是重点, 讨论怎样呈现) 3. Do the exercise 1) Words you know T:I have six friends, they are doing sports on Friday night, too. Lets have a look, what are they doing? Check in your group. S: Write and discuss. 介绍我的几位朋友,引出练习三。 小组活动:写出运动名称并核对答案。 2)Listen to this T: As we all have our plans. Lets listen, what are BINGO Kids doing? 全班活动:听录音,连线,核对答案。 3)Read and Complete T: A new term begins. What are you doing on weekends? How often do you do ? Lets see Ries weekly timetable, and finish the exercise. 4) Group Discussion (小组讨论:三人一组,问卷调查) T: Make a timetable, do a survey about your friends plan. Hints: My friend is She/He has English classes once a week. She/He plays sports three times a week. NameActivitiesHow often Cristina Jeck 5)评选出最优的两组,成员得到健身俱乐部的意外赠品:抽奖活动。 (奖品在一个 Gift Box 里,成员拿出将会拼成一个五环图案,由此 引出“Did you know”的背景介绍) T:You are very lucky to be the VIP members. I hope everyone do more sports after school, so that you can be more healthy.
