We should cultivate pupils abilities of listening and speaking and make them interested in English. Lead them to know that English is not only a subject but also
2、a tool for communication. 2. Contents Today Im going to talk about Module 9 Unit 2, New Standard English, Book 7. This lesson includes two parts: in section 1, it mainly deals with the dialogue about “What happened to you?” and its answer. And in section 2, it provides a real situation for the Ss to
3、 practice the pattern: “ What happened to you?” and its answer. 3. Students They have studied English for more than 3 years, so theyve got enough vocabularies for this lesson. And in this term, they have already know the past tense. They have studied affirmative sentence and negative sentences in th
4、e past 7 modules. The students in grade 4 are active and interest in all kinds of activities. They want to meet new things in the class, also they want to have fun with the new things. II. Teaching aims 1. Aims on the knowledge (1) The Ss s vocabulary will be enlarged. Eg. bump-bumped, hurt-hurt, cu
5、t-cut, knee, fingeretc. (2) The Ss will understand and use the phrases. And make sure that Ss can use them correctly in real situations. Eg. bump my head, hurt my knee, cut my finger etc. (3) The Ss will understand and use the sentence pattern “What happened to you / this boy/ this girl?” and its an
6、swer. 2. Aims on the abilities (1) The Ss have better abilities of speaking. (2) The Ss can work in groups very well. 3. Aims on the emotion (1) The Ss get consciousness of good co-operation. (2) The Ss will show their love to the others. III. Key-points of this lesson (1)The Ss will understand and

Teaching methods , activities and adds As we all know: the main instructional aims of teaching English in primary school is to cultivate pupils basic abilities of listening and speaking a
9、nd their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson I will let the Ss learn in real situation, activities and test to help the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure. I will arrange three kinds of activities: singing, guessing game and having a competition. And in this less
10、on a video, masks, medical things, word-cards will be needed. . Teaching procedures and purposes of my designing Ill finish this lesson in six steps. Step 1 Warm-up 1. Greeting.: T: How are you? Ss: Im fine. Thank you. The teacher will lead Ss to answer the question differently. Such as: “Im great.”
11、 “Im happy.” “Im sad.” and so on. 2. Sing the song together: head shoulder knees and toes. 3. Pointing game: 1) The teacher say the name of the students, and the Ss will point to the one. 2) The teacher say the organ of someone, and the Ss will point to. Purpose: It is important to form a better Eng
12、lish learning surrounding for the Ss. Singing and doing some total physical response are the easy ways to provides situations to review learned knowledge for the next step. Step 2 Presentation of sentence pattern The teacher will show the patterns by reviewing the contents in the last unit. 1.T : Do
13、 you remember what happened to Daming? What did Daming do? 2.The Ss will try to remind and answer the question. Eg. Daming bumped his head. He went for a bike ride. Sam fall off the bike. 3.T: What did Lingling and Amy do? The Ss will find that Lingling and Amy laughed. 4.Lead them to show their lov
14、e to the others in the real situation. And present “Be careful.” T: What should we say? Ss: Are you ok? Purpose: It is easy to introduce the new pattern from the learned contents or from the familiar things. Step 3 Practice 1.Add a new pattern. The teacher will show an example and encourage them to
15、act out. - Are you ok? Be careful. 2.Show the pictures of Activity2 and lead Ss to answer the questions. Eg.What happened to the boy/ the girl? What did he/she do? She made a newspaper. She ran a race Thepurpose:topracticetheirabilityofspeaking. Encourage students to open their mind to guess and try
16、 to say their ideas out. In this way they can remind and use the words and the patterns we have studied. Step4 Reading 1.Listen to the video of Activity 2 and ask them to catch the new words. (If they hear the new words they will clap their hands twice) To check if they can listen and say the new wo
17、rd. 2.Watch the cartoon and imitate the tone. 3. Watch the cartoon and dub for the dialogue. Step 5 Production 1.The teacher will show the example to them with the mask of the three children. 18、re you OK? Be careful! 2.Encourage them to prepare a dialogue in pairs according to the Activity 2. 3.Ask them to show in the class. Step 6 Summary 1. These two parts helps Ss to get “What happened to you?” and its answer. But we add “What did you do?” “Be careful!”In this
21、way, students will be able to make and say thedialogue in real situation. 3.Inthewarming-step,wedidntremindenough vocabulary. It lead to the difficulties in the production step. We can use the “Brain Storming” to remind the useful words and sentences. 4. It costs too much time for remind the last unit in the presentation-step. We should allocate the time scientifically.
