The second one is the skill aims: (1)To enhance the students ability of listening,speaking and reading;(2)To cultivate the ability of combining words with sentences,action and language; (3)To cultivate the students ability of use the lexical transfer method to read new words; (4)To practice the students comprehensive abilities in using English. The third one is the emotion aims. (1)To encourage the students interest in English and take part in class actively ; (2)To perceive the value of using English and experience success; (3)Educate the students to love their home and feel the warmth of home. After that,Id like to say something about the teaching important and difficult points. (1) Students are supposed to learn the following four- skill words:study, bathroom,living room,bedroom,kitchen; (2)Students are supposed to understand and do the action command such as “Go to the living room. Watch TV.”; (3)Students are supposed to ask and answer “Is she in the.?” “Yes,she is”.; (4)Students are supposed to use “This is my home. Its very nice. It has a living room.” to describe home; (5)The pronunciation of “living room” and “bathroom”. Apart from these,I want to talk about the teaching methods. (1) Total Physical Response As we all know,teaching English at primary schools aims at students basic skills in listening and speaking and their interest in English. So I find it necessary to use TPR.TPR may allow the students learn in doing and do in learning. This will arouse their interest and self- initiative in class participation, let them concentrate on the content then improve learning efficiency. (2) Multimedia assisted teaching method In teaching process,I take full advantage of the perceptual materials of multimedia,which have been combined with the students imaginable thinking. Then I create the best situation to let the students communicate with each other in English environment. Apart from these,I make fine courseware which is so directly and visual that attracts the student and let them learn in joyful atmosphere. (3) Task-based teaching method I set real situations and arrange four kinds of activities: chant/song,games,discussion and having a writing description. The chant and song help the students to perceive the pronunciation and intonation of the words as well as the sentences. The practice makes the students speak fluently. The activity in “Lets do” and games aim to consolidate the words and sentences. The discussion and description aim to cultivate the learners competence of communication in real English. Next,lets focus on the teaching process. Step 1: Preparation (1)Free talk and sing a song “My Schoolbag” . Warming up is one of the important processes of English teaching. Before learning,singing a familiar song and clapping hands can ease the anxiety of students and active the classroom atmosphere. Besides,the character of Zoom in the song also helps to lead out the title “My Home”(Zoom says:“This is my home.”) ; (2)Use home to make a sentence. This part mainly develops the ability of using English. Step 2: Presentation 1、Visit Zooms home. Create an interesting situation and lead out the key words through the lively courseware. (1)living room:Use the lexical transfer method to read,practice the word by clapping hands. Learn the sentence “Go to the living room,watch TV.” And do the action.(Cultivate the ability of words speaking by the method of connecting with similar words or letters. Then practice by the action of “Lets do”.Let the students learn in doing,do in learning.) (2)study:Use the lexical transfer method to read,practice by low and high voice. Consolidate by “Go to the study,read a book.” (Cultivate the ability of words speaking by the method of connecting with similar words or letters. Then practice by the action of “Lets do”.Let the students learn in doing,do in learning.) (3)kitchen:Present a picture of chicken in the kitchen. Practice the word by learning the sentence “I like chicken in the kitchen.” and consolidate by “Go to the kitchen,have a snack.”( Learn and practice new word through similar pronunciation. Reduce the difficulty and be easy to remember.) (4)bedroom :Learn the words “bed”+“room”,and do the action “Go to the bedroom,have a nap.”(Learning new word by the old knowledge ,which helps the students understand and remember.) (5) bathroom: Learn the word and practice “Go to the bathroom,take a shower.”( Practice by the action of “Lets do”.Let the students learn in doing,do in learning.) 2、To perceive the differences between “bedroom” and “bathroom”. (Practice the two words together. This comparison method helps to deep the impression of two words and let the students remember well.) 3、Do chant with the music.(Integrate the information and consolidate the knowledge by doing the chant together.) Step 3 Practice 1、Guessing riddles(What room is it?) The game gets the children involved in the class joyfully. Playing in learning and learning in playing have consolidated the knowledge and let the students learn happily. 2、Take out the picture of Amy and learn the sentence “Is she in the .?”“Yes,she is./ No.” Using the picture of a house to lead out“Where is Amy?Is she in the?” “Yes,she is./ No.” Then ask and answer by boys or girls. (As it is known to all,writing in English,as an output,is a vital integrate skill. I change writing into filling blanks, which fits the Grade 4 students, and reduce the difficulty. It can develop students ability on using comprehensive knowledge. Practicing in language output may also help the teacher text the students learning.) Step 4 Extension 1、Present the warm pictures of family members in home. Educate the students to love their home and feel the warmth of home. (To implement emotional education and to cultivate the students feeling of loving their home. ) 2、Learn the proverb East or west, home is the best. (Extend the curricular knowledge and sublimate emotion .Let the students get a further understanding of loving home.) At last,Id like to say something about homework and blackboard design. The homework is being the little designer. Design your favorite home and mark each room. Then describe your home and have a competition with your classmates.(This homework let the students practice and participate by themselves. It aims to develop students ability on using comprehensive knowledge. I design a house as the blackboard design. It is concise and clear for understanding and keeps to the title.)
