Its rude to stick your chopsticks into your food . Dont stick your chopsticks upright in the rice bowl, Lay them on your dish. (不 要把筷子竖在饭碗里,把筷子放在盘子里。) Take sushi by your hand instead of chopsticks. when eating sushi, using the thumb middle finger to take sushi Table Manners in india India is a country with very strong traditions. Some Dos and Donts DO politely turn down the first offer of tea, coffee, or snacks DO eat with your hands. Forks and knives are not traditionally used in India for eating. DO carefully wash your hands before eating and keep your fingernails short. DO use your bread to scoop up your food. DO use your right hand while eating and receiving food, and not your left. The left hand is considered unclean DO leave a small amount of food on your plate to show you are satisfied. Eating everything off your plate means youre still hungry. DONT chat while having a meal. Table manners in France You are not supposed to put your bread on your plate. You are supposed to put your it on the table. You are not supposed to eat anything with your hands except bread, not even fruit. While eating fruit, you are supposed to cut t up fruit, and eat the fruit with a fork. It is impolite to say youre full. If you dont want any more food, you should just say, “that was delicious”. You are not supposed to put your elbows on the table.
