Table manners in France You are not supposed to put your bread on your plate. You are supposed to put your it on the table. You are not supposed to eat anything with your hands except bread, not even fruit. While eating fruit, you are supposed to cut t up fruit, and eat the fruit with a fork. It is impolite to say youre full. If you dont want any more food, you should just say, “that was delicious”. You are not supposed to put your elbows on the table.
