3、hod. 5.Teaching procedures Step1 Warm up (Review and lead-in ) I will greet the students and leads to the new lesson by singing a song . Step2 Presentation (before reading) 1) 1.Present new words by showing the film 2).Teach the new words one by one during the introduction of the film. 3).Introduce

4、different kinds of films by short videos. (Purpose: 1. Arouse the studentsinterest 2.Teach the new words in different ways to arouse their interest. 2:2:Play a games one by one to consolidate the new words and develop the skills of word-guessing. Who has quick eyes? Who has quick ears? Who has quick

(Purpose: 1.To arouse studentsinterest to the passage. 2.To consolidate the new words and develop the skills of word-guessing. 3:Get the students to look at the picture and answer the questions. Step3Practice(while-reading) ( scanning and skimming) 1)Read the passage. Underline the different

6、kinds of movies and circle the movie names. (Move your eyes quickly down the passage to find specific information) 2)Skim the paragraphs, then write T for true or F for false. (Purpose: Students can learn how to use the reading strategy to find the main idea of a passage, which is good for improving

Step4 consolidation (careful-reading and post-reading) 1)Read the passage again and answer the questions. 2)Try to underline the attributive clauses(定语从句) in the article , andcircle the relative words(关系词) . (Purpose: to get a main idea of the passage to be ready for the nex

8、t part .At the same time ,to improve the skills of reading. ) 3)Encourage Ss to draw mind-map to summarize the passage. 4)Get the students to retell the according to the passage.
