Pre-reading Make a survey between the students One is an interviewer that interviews his friend about how he /she uses the Internet and what he/she thinks of it. And another student gives a short report based on the result of the interview. In this way they are not only aroused the interest of study but also can improve their communication ability by interviewing. Step 2. While-reading 1. Fast reading- to get the main idea and give a proper title. 2. Careful reading to gain the details from the articles by finishing the tasks . More tasks to get the detailed information. Develop their reading skills 3. Make a mind map in 1d to have a good understanding of the whole text. 4. Listen and read loudlyto practice their pronunciation and develop Ss ability of speaking . Step 3. Post-reading 1. Ask a group to read the passage to check their speaking while let other 2 Ss complete the blanks on the Bb to check them if they master this two main parts. 2. Have a debate competition on two topics Is playing Internet game good or bad for us? Is making friends online good or bad for us? 3. Summarize the debate. - 4 - In this way ,Ss can realize that everything has two sides and know they should use the Internet in a healthy way. 4. Show how to write a composition on this topic according to the outline on the Bb Step 4. Sum up Ss can use the Internet to do many things and Ss also know why they should use it carefully. They can write a passage on this topic. .Blackboard design and reflection This topic is closely related the students life. Most of them like talking their ideas about it and also like the debating . After this class more than half of the students can communicate with others about the advantages and disadvantages and know how to write a passage on this topic . Every students reading ability has developed little by little . It is a pity that we could finish a composition orally in class so that it can be taken as an example which can make a few weaker students know how to write this composition more clearly.
