Teaching procedures: Step 1. Greetings and getting students ready for class Show a time machine and go back to yesterday. T: He

3、llo boys and girls. Do you know what it is? Its a time machine. We can take the time machine to anytime. So today we will enjoy a time travel. Are you ready? First, lets go back to this Monday. What did we learn on Monday? 1. Quick Eyes Game: Catch the words and write them down. T: Lets play a game

4、called “quick eyes”. Remember as many words as you can. stove, goose, disappear, flame, match, dark, happily. 2. Make the words into word chunks. T: Read the words together. And then make them into word chunks. For example, the girl is sleeping in the dark.Who can have a try? Read the word chunks to

5、gether. 3. Super Snake Game. T: Second, lets play Super Snake Game. I will show you some words. You can choose the words and put them into a sentence. The more words you use, the more points you will get. 设计意图:以时光机为主线,让学生搭乘时光机回到过去,复习本单元重点。闪卡游戏唤醒 学生的记忆,复习单词,进行热身,吸引学生注意力,让学生快速进入学习状态。将单词变 成的词块都是和活动有关,为

6、最后产出做铺垫。贪吃蛇造句游戏能让学生发挥学生想象力, 连词成句,学会使用所学的单词。整个环节按照单词-词块-句子,逐渐递进。 Step 2 Warming and Preparing Take the time machine back to last weekend. 1. Teachers weekend: Share a video about the teachers weekend. Watch it and write down the activities. T: What day is it today? How do you feel on Monday? S: tired

7、/ excited/ (show pictures about different feelings from Monday to Sunday) T: I agree with you./ I dont agree with you. I feel too tired to work on Monday. We call Monday “blue Monday”. But on Saturday and Sunday, I feel very excited. I want to share my weekend with you. Watch the video and write dow

8、n my weekend activities. Ask students to express their feelings aboutthe teachers weekend. T: What do you think of my weekend? Where did I do these activities? Some of them are indoor activities and some of them are outdoor activities. 2. Students weekend Ask students about their activities last Sun

9、day. Then make a Survey and do a report. T: Would you like to share your activities last Sunday? S1, what were you doing at this time last Sunday? S. T: Make a Survey, ask your partner about their weekend activities. Write them down. Then introduce your group members weekend activities. S Ask studen

Show background about Sunday T: What was the man doing at church at this time two hundred years ago? S: He was praying. T: When and where was he praying? Did he have a two-da

(Post-reading) Choose a time machine and it will take you to Saturday or Sunday in different times. When you come back, write a diary about your ti

14、me travel. Discuss in groups. Then write a diary about your time travel. Ask some groups to share the diaries. 设计意图: 产出环节让学生搭乘时光机回到两百年前的某个周末, 用过去进行时写一篇日记。 学生可以根据阅读环节得到的信息,联系本课所复习相关内容,在符合情境的文化背景下, 发挥想象力,学以致用。 Step 5 Homework Review Section D Write down diary about the time travel.
