Because she love Australian animals.Because they are very,very cute.Because they look like koalas.Chant and clap (拍手唱)Why do you love Australia?Because its very beautiful.Why do you love koala?Because theyre very cute.Why do you love kangaroo?Because they re cute, too.Pair work (两两合作)Why do you like .?Because they are .Quick answer.(快问快答)1、Why can birds fly?2、Why can fish swim?3、Why is there a summer?4、Why am I so fat?5、Why do you speak Chinese? 6、Why do we like sweet? 7、Why are we different?8、Why should we study hard?9、Why are days bright?10、Why is there only one sun?Group work (小组合作)Beijing/the capital of our countrythe Great Wall/ very old and greatAustralia/ beautifulkangaroos and koalas/ cuteLondon/ beautifulBig Ben/ a very old clock and very highWhat have you learnt today? 今天你学到了什么?1、Something about Australia(animals and language) 2、why提问,要用because来回答Module 9 Unit 1 Why do you like Australia?教学设计 一、教材分析本单元是以 Why do you like Australia?为题的对话,具体内容是:Amy 和Lingling 在看一张澳大利亚地图时,引发的一段对话。文中 Amy 告诉Lingling,她很喜欢澳大利亚,因此 Lingling 好奇的问其原因,Amy 认真的回答。本单元的学习内容是如何运用 Why?询问原因,并以 Because来回答。Why 与 Because 的问答是本册出现的新知识点。且文中涉及的澳大利亚的相关内容也是首次出现在教材中。澳大利亚作为重要的英语国家,是每位英语学习者都应了解的,也是符合课程标准中二级的要求,即学生乐于了解异国文化、习俗。所以本课的重点是:在理解对话内容、学习本课重点语句的同时,帮助学生初步了解澳大利亚的相关知识,比如语言、当地动物等。本单元功能是用 Why 和 Because 进行问答。本功能的语用目的是询问原因,并回答,以此了解他人对某事、某物的喜好原因。 1学习目标:1)学生能听懂、读出、说出新单词:Australia(Australian), because, map, language,kangaroo,koala;重点句:Why do you like Australia? Because I love Australian animals. Why do you love kangaroos and koalas? Because they are very, very cute. 合作组内能力较强的学生能够当堂记忆新单词与句子,并在复述课文环节默写出单词。2)学生能听懂并流利朗读课文。合作组内能力较强的学生能够有感情的表演完整对话或语篇中的重要图片内容。3)通过小组合作,学生共同完成一张表单,帮助其拓展巩固”Why? Because”的句型应用。组内能力稍弱的学生能够在同伴的帮助下依据本课所学句式完成场景中的简单问答;能力较强的学生能够根据自己真实的想法表达问题与原因。4)通过文本的学习,学生能对澳大利亚有初步的了解,感知中外文化的差异。2重、难点:灵活运用重点句 Why?Because询问并回答原因,帮助潜质生能用本课重点句式问答课文中相关内容,促进优质生能用句式问答生活中的问题。二、学情分析经过近四年的英语学习,学生已具备了一定的听说读写的能力,有较好的模仿力,在老师的引导下,能运用所学基本句型进行语言操练,在课堂教学中能积极参与,在小组合作时能互动交流,分享信息。因为在前期的课例设计中,教师经常会以 Why 询问相关文本或图片内容,所以 100%学生了解 why 的意思,但是不会灵活运用 WhyBecause问答。要自如地运用重点句型进行语言交际,还需要有效的操练。 三、教学策略运用学生已有知识经验以及在课前预习的基础上,在自由会话中自然导入。借助文本所创设的情境,进行语言操练,在完成任务的同时,提高语用能力。并通过合理的小组活动,分享自己的所获。 四、教具:希沃授课助手、PPT 课件、单词卡片、辅学纸、配套练习册等。 五、教学过程根据我校的“启智生智行智”教学模式,我设计如下:预习内容:1. 听录音,尝试模仿跟读课文 3 遍。2. 搜集你感兴趣的澳大利亚相关资料,并在课前与组内同伴交流,尽量用英语表达。 3. Show a map of the world and find China.1) T: Who can find our homeland? Show us. Ask a student to find China. T:We are Chinese. What language do we speak? S:We speak Chinese. Ask a student to find the country of Australia.Learn the new words “Australia”and“Australian”. 把单词卡贴在黑板上。2) Do you know “What language do they speak in Australia?”Get the answer.利用希沃授课助手将学生预习单投射到大屏幕上,一起找到答案。S: They speak English.Learn the new word “language”.3) T: What else do you know about Australia? 2. Enjoy some pictures of Australia.【设计意图】交流信息,初步感知了解澳大利亚。并由此引出本课核心国家。在自由会话中,学习两个新单词。为正式进入文本做好准备。Step II 学文生智1. Why do you love Australia ? How to answer“why.?”Now lets watch the first part of our text. 1). T:Watch and answer the question.“Why do you love fruit?” S:Because its very healthy. Learn the word“because”. 2). T:Watch and follow each sentence. S: Repeat each sentence. 3). T:OK. Now who can answer my question“Why do you love Australia?” S:Because its very beautiful. 4). T: Good. Australia is very beautiful, and it has got many animals. Such as kangaroos and koalas.Learn the new words “kangaroo” and “koala”.T: Do you love kangaroos and koalas?S: Yes.T: Why do you love kangaroos and koalas?S:Because theyre very cute.【设计意图】利用自由交流将本课新词全部学完,降低课文难度,并易于接受。将第一部分放在正文之前学习,主要是能引出本课重点句型,并简单操练几句,突出重点。2. Watch the video and learn it.T: Australia is a very beautiful country. Amy likes it. She will go there one day. 1)Watch the video and answer the questions. What are they talking about? A. They are talking about language. B. They are talking about Australia. Why does Amy like Australia? . Why does Amy like kangaroos and koalas? . Why are Sam and Daming cute,too? 板书 Why Because【设计意图】通过课前预习,大部分学生能够理解文本。课堂上带着 4 个问题,再次浏览全文,帮助其进一步了解课文意思,并加深理解。2). Read the text and find the “why” and “because” sentences. Find the sentences and read them.并板书。3). Watch and repeat each sentences. 4). Practice reading in pairs and ask two of them to read the text in roles. 【设计意图】本环节主要是通过原版录音,呈现重点句。在前几个环节的基础上,通过同伴合作自主学习课文的两组重点句,最终同伴能够表演出对话,使学生对课文的理解逐渐加深。 5). Turn to next page and do the practice of this text. T: Why do you love dogs/cats/fish/pandas/elephants? Students answer the questions. 【设计意图】课后练习,直接巩固,并做到部分学生自由用英语表达,实现语用目标。 6). T: Heres a chant for you. First follow,then try to clap and sing together. Why do you love Australia? Because its very beautiful. Why do you love koala? Because theyre very cute. Why do you love kangaroo? Because they re cute, too. 【设计意图】利用朗朗上口的诗歌加上一定的节奏,可以使学生在韵律中学习并进一步巩固所学内容。 Step III 练习行智 1. 快问快答:1、Why can birds fly? 2、Why can fish swim? 3、Why is there a summer? 4、Why am I so fat? 5、Why do you speak Chinese? 6、Why do we like sweet? 7、Why are we different? 8、Why should we study hard?9、Why are days bright? 10、Why is there only one sun? 【设计意图】学生自主思考,随意表达,不用考虑正确与否,引导学生开放性思维,并能利用所学表达所想。2. 合作学习,完成表单。学生小组合作,完成三个国家的表单,并能利用why 和 because 正确表达。 This summer holiday I will go to Australia.
