18、 so turbulent that it seems to be boiling during the flood season.Xiling Gorge consists of several small gorges.On the top of the north bank of Binshu-baojian Gorge(the Military Manual and the Precious Sword Gorge)is a rock that looks like a sword.On the north bank eastwards not far from a shoal are
19、 two pieces of brown rocks,which are named Bulls Liver and Horses Lung.They were so named because they resemble a bulls liver and a horses lung respectively.Next to them is the Lantern Shadow Gorge that has four rocks looking like the four characters in a Chinese classic novel Journey to the West,wh

27、ng Province in eastern China.It evolved from a shallow bay through which the Qiantang River flows into the East China Sea.In the ancient times it was called Wulin Waters,Golden Buffalo Lake,Qiantang Lake and Xizi Lake.The name of West Lake was widely recognized as early as the Tang Dynasty(618 907).
