1、 1 Starter Unit 2 Whats this in English? 一、单元教材分析一、单元教材分析 本单元要求学生掌握英文字母 IiRr,能认读其印刷体和手写体字母的大小写等四种形式。 书写(大写和小写,笔顺,笔画)基本合乎要求。注意总结元音字母 a 、e、i 和 o 的发音规则。本 单元围绕“认物”这一话题开展听、说、读、的学习活动,学习一些简单的事物的英文词汇,并 能用所学的句型去熟悉周围的一些事物的名称。让学生们学会在生活中如何确认事物。通过辨认 事物,学生们学习一些词汇,并巩固所学的句型。 二、单元学情分析二、单元学情分析 本单元围绕“认物”这一话题开展听、说、读、写的

2、学习活动。通过所学的句型 Whats this in English? Its a Whats that in English? Its a ”去熟悉周围的一些事物的名称。此 外,通过学习让学生们明白 this 和 that 均指代单数的事物,this 指代离说话者较近的事物,that 指代离说话者较远的事物,it 指代上文出现的事物,也可指代上文出现的 this 或 that。用英语确 认周围常见事物比较适合初学者的实际情况,难度不大,易调动学生们的学习兴趣。 三、单元三、单元教学建议教学建议 在本单元的教学中可采用的学习策略有:兴趣活动教学策略,多采用做游戏和猜谜等形式; 任务型教学策略,

Warming-up and revision 1. Greet the Ss. Good morning/afternoon/evening,

6、class! Good morning/afternoon/evening, Mr./ Ms. T: How are you? Ss: Im fine. How are you? T: Im OK. (Let Ss greet each other in pairs.) 3 2. Review the letters Aa Hh. Let Ss recite the letters Aa Hh. . . Game (a guessing game) Teachers show a part of a letter and ask, “Whats this?” Get the students

7、to answer the questions like this: T: Whats this? Ss: I think its A/B/C Then show the whole of the letter to the class. T: Youre wrong. Its “I“. (Let the students check whether theyre right or wrong. Then guess the letter “J, K, L, M, N“) . Presentation Show some real things to the class, such as ru

8、ler, pen, key, orange, map T: Whats this in English? Ss: (Help Ss answer) Its a ruler. (The same with the words, pen, key, orange and map) Put the things in a desk a little far way. T: (Point to the things) Whats that in English? Ss: Its a ruler. (The same with the words, pen, key, orange and map) 提

9、示:让学生说一下 this 与 that 的区别。 . Listening 1. Tell Ss to look at the picture in 1a. Read the words and sentences carefully and look for the small letters for these big letters. Check ()the ones you found. 2. Ss read the words and sentences and look for the small letters. Then check the answers. e.g. 3. O

Ss work with his or her partner and number the words in alphabetical order. 7. Let some Ss read their words to check th

15、e answers. . Writing 1. T: Now lets learn how to write these letters. First look at the picture carefully in 2c. Then tell us how to write these English letters. 2. Ss read and find out the writing rules of the letters Ii Rr. 5 S1: 大字字母都是占上两格。 S2: 字母 m、n、o、r 占中间的一格。 S3:字母 k、l 占上两格。 S4: 字母 p、q 占下两格。

Check with the whole class. . Practice 1. Tell Ss to look at the picture in 2d. First, read the letters aloud. Then let some S

Then ask some Ss the same questions: T: Whats this in English? S1: Its a ruler. T: Spell it, please. S1: R-U-L-E-R. Ask questions with pen, or

26、ange, cup 2. Let Ss ask and answer about the real objects. S3: Whats this/that in English? S4: Its a quilt. S3: Spell it, please. S4: Q-U-I-L-T. .
