2、was struck by a magnitude 7.1 earthquake on the early morning of Saturday, September 4, 2010. No tsunami alert(警报) was reported. The countrys army were ready to assist victims and disaster recovery operations. New Zealands then Prime Minister John Key, flew to the affected area to inspect and assess

3、 the situation of the damaged city. John Key said that the full assessment of the damage would possibly take months.
