Play a game: T collects some books from Ss and puts them together, then asks Ss to guess whose books they are. 3. T talks with Ss about their lost things and asks them where they

8、Language Points 1. People often lose things when theyre travelling or when theyre in a hurry. 人们在旅行中或是匆匆忙忙时经常丢失东西。 in a hurry 意为“匆匆忙忙”是固定短语，中间的冠词不可省略，常用作表语或状语。hurry 此处用作名词，意为“匆忙” 。 2. Thats why there are lost and found offices at airports and stations. 那就是机场和车站都有失物招领处的原因。 Thats why 意为“那就是的原因；那就是为什么”

9、，常用于句首，why 后面跟的 是结果。此处 why 引导表语从句。 3. Hundreds of people come here every day. 每天都有几百人到这里来。 hundred 作数词，意为“百” ，放在基数词后用单数；hundreds of 意为“几百；成百上千” ， 后接可数名词复数。 设计意图：呈现本单元重要的语言点讲解，帮助学生掌握相关知识。 Activity 3 1.
