青 春 HOLIDAYSUnit5 Is May Day a holiday? Lesson 15 amusement park Its on May 1st. Its the first Monday of September. USA Labour Day is a holiday for the working people. We are going to visit Great Wall in Shanghaiguan. What are you going to do on May Day? My plan on May Day May Day is coming. I have 3-day on holiday. I am going to visit Great Wall in Simatai on the first day. And I am going to go to the cinema with my daughter on second day. I am going to visit my grandma on the third day. I love May Day.1 Unit5 Is May Day a holiday? Lesson 15 教学内容: 本节课是北京版小学英语教材四年级下册第五单元的第一课时,要求学生通过玲玲与 好朋友谈论劳动节计划的对话文本,掌握有关节日的信息,并且能够制定适合不同节 日的活动计划。教师通过与学生谈论节日的话题入手,引出本课的主题“劳动节” ;通 过对关键信息的反复听说,了解劳动节的日期,名称以及在中国的特殊之处;通过了 解玲玲在劳动节的计划,学习核心句型:What are you going to do? 以及答语: We are going to . 并补充假期计划所必备的几项核心内容:When/Where/Who 等信息,从 而让学生更好地完成真实交流、真实交际的任务。 教学方式: 在教学过程中,关注点放在对话意义的本身,努力给学生设计基于理解的会话教学模 式。在课的开始,教师从宏观问题入手,逐渐向细节推进,引导学生逐步构建随学内 容的框架,为实现真实交流打好基础。 教学手段:本节课主要通过教师引导学生从听力入手,获取相关信息,并采用多媒体 ipad 进行辅助教学。 教学目标: 1. 能初步运用“What are you going to do on?”及回答“We are going to”交流节 日计划。在所提供的情景中进行对话。 2. 能在交流节日计划的具体情景中听懂、认读 holiday, call, visit, Labour Day 等词汇, 并理解、认读“be going to do” “is coming”等关于节日计划的交际用语。 3. 能正确、流畅地朗读课文对话。 4. 能在情景中分角色朗读对话,并根据不同的节日、活动正确替换对话。 5. 能了解不同的节日及活动,乐于用英语与他人交流节日计划。 教学过程 I Warming Up 1. Mini show. A student will introduce “Womens Day” and then student will ask two questions. Q1: When is Womens Day? What do I do on this holiday? 学生交流后评价后,引出 Holiday 主题, 2. T: Today,We are going to talk about holidays. What holidays do you know? Ss: May be they can speak some holidays. T: It doesnt matter. There are some pictures for you. Lets enjoy. 2 设计意图:设计意图: 以尊重学生已由生活经验为出发点,通过谈话的方式了解学生对节日这一 主题的了解情况;通过寻问相关活动,帮助学生复习已知的动词短语,提供更多的学 过的节日主题,为学习对话做好铺垫。 II Presentation 1.教师出示本节课的主题图, T: Today, our friends Sara and Guoguo also talk about holidays. Look at this picture. Where are they? S: They are at the park or an amusement. T:Show the words “amusement park” on the picture. 2.带着问题整体观看课文。 T: Q:What holiday are they talking? Listen and watch. Ss: May Day. / Labor Day 3.学习关于劳动节的相关信息: (1)播放第一段无文字的视频 T: Is it May Day or Labour Day? Lets listen. (带文字的视频前三句话) T:So,May Day is Labour Day.(黑板上贴出来两个单词,中间用等于号) Repeat T: What do you want to know about May Day? Ss: When is May Day? 再次播放第一段无文字的视频 T: Ok. When is the May Day in China? Lets watch and listen. S:Its on May 1st. ( PPT 上出示这句话)(需要真实的 2017 年的带有“假”字的劳动节 日历,学生回答后标注日期). T:We have 3-days on May Day, you dont go to school. I dont go to work. Do you love May Day? T:May Day is on May 1st in China. Sara is from U.S.A., when is the Labor Day in the U.S.A.? Lets listen(插入声音) “But in the U.S.A., Labour Day is the first Monday of September” , (then show this sentence on PPT) , repeat again . And then circle the date on your ipad. (投屏投屏) (板书上标注中美劳动节的日期)So what do they do on May Day? Lets enjoy a video(视频只播放到现代介绍). Then watch again. They are very happy on May Day. 最后播放第一段带文字的视频 Students talk about May Day with teacher.(老师带领学生进行梳理) 3 E.g May Day is a holiday. We also call it Labor Day. Its on May 1st in China. Its the first Monday of September in the U.S.A. (2)播放第二段无文字 T: we know May Day is a holiday. Teachers day is a holiday too. Its a holiday for teachers. Womens Day is a holiday for women. How about May Day? Who enjoys May Day? (Watch and listen,只听这句话) Ss: Its a holiday for the working people. T: I think teacher is working people. Who are working people do you think? 播放第二段无文字视频 T: Labour Day is a holiday, people have 3-day holiday. Sara wants to know Guoguos plan? What is Guoguo going to do? (Watch and listen) They are going to visit Great Wall in Shanhaiguan.出示清晰地长城照片。指导 visit 的 发音,让学生多读一读。 (这段完整播放) 加句中文:果果能自己去长城吗? T:Guoguo says “We are going to visit Great wall.” I think Guoguo will be very happy on May Day. Sara knows Guoguos plan? How does she ask Guo guo? (Watch and listen) Guoguo wants to know Saras plan. What will she say? 板书 黑板上贴出 Sara 的头像和打算去的地方? III Practice 1. Watch and listen the text. 2. Listen and repeat the text. We should focus some keywords. 2. Read the story on ipad. Students read with ipad. And then they can read by themselves. When they cannot read some sentences they also can use ipad. 4. Show in the class. 3. Sum up information about May Day on blackboard in pairs. (给学生时间让两人之间互相 说一说,展示 1 到 2 人) IV Progress 1. T: Sara and Guoguo have plan on May Day. Do you have plan? (指着黑板的 plan 单词问) What are you going to do on May Day?” 根据学生的回答补充 I am going to=- 2. T:Today is April 28th. May Day is coming. We can do many things. Lets enjoy pictures (picture will show one by one with music. And last all pictures will show on one power 4 point. ) 3. T: Do you know my plan on May Day? Now I want to share with you. (PPT) 4. T: Can you tell me your plan on May Day? Have them to make their plan. You can discuss in your group with “what are you going to do?” please remember we have 3days. Ss: Talk about the plan on May Day in groups. They should stand up. T: I ask some students. And then choose other students going to the same with places. You can go there together. Who can introduce your plan on May Day? T: Today, there are some foreign friends; do you want to ask their May Day? Ss: Hello. Im what are you going to do on May Day? T: How do you think about May Day? Its a happy holiday. 有意义的节日,让学生阅读 关于劳动节的来历)作为家庭作业。 V Extention Activities:Students introduce their favorite holiday. T: Now, please take your ipad. There are four holidays, choose one holiday you like to introduce. They have to introduce the date, for who, and plan. Ss: Mothers Day is on March 8th. It is a holiday for mom. I am going to make a card for my mom. And I am going to visit my grandma. T:You can share with your partner. 设计意图:学生通过本节课的学习,如果能够做到自主表达或介绍某个节日,并能够 合理的安排该的活动安排,即为达成了教学目标。 V Ending 教师对本节课学生的表现进行评价,并再次将本课所学重点内容逐一梳理,最后布 置课后作业。 T: Boys and girls, You did a good job! Today, we learnt something about holidays . After class, please read the dialogue, and share your May Day plan with your friends. 设计意图:总结评价结果,同时梳理本课重点内容,鼓励学生课下运用所学语言交 流,将课堂知识向课外延伸,养成学、用相结合的训练意识.
