S:Its a carnation. T:There are some festivals in May.Which festival should we give carnation. S:Mothers Day. T:Whos for? S:Its for mum. T:Yes.Great.Its for mum.When is Mothers Day this year? S:Its on May 12th. T:Yes.And its on the second Sunday of May.On Mothers Day, we should say:“Happy Mothers Day.”Today Lets talk about Mothers Day.” (2)板书课题:Unit 4 Mothers Day Part A. (3)向学生介绍母亲节的由来。 (4)观看 Ill 的视频,明白 Ill 所表达的意思。 (5)头脑风暴:What will you do for your mum.(学生之间互相讨论并且提 问) 3. 引出课文: T:Mothers Day is coming.There are three kids wanting to do something for their mom,too.Today Id like to introduce them to you.They are Sally、Kate and Ben. Step 2 Presentation (一)整体感知课文 1.教师出示 Ben,Kate 和 Sally 的头像,并提出一个问题: What will Ben、Kate and Sally do for their mother? 教师播放课文视频,学生边听边看课文对话并勾划出课文关键点。听完课文之 后请大家回答问题并学习词组:give her a card、give her a big kiss、give her a big surprise. 2. 让学生四人一小组,讨论假设你是 Sally,Kate and Ben,你要给妈妈什么样 的惊喜。 3.Listen and repeat. 4.Act in roles. Step 3 Extension 1.观看视频,引出学生要对妈妈说的话。 2.write a poem or a letter for your mum. 3.share.(通过诗与信的方式让大家体会对妈妈的情感) 4.What can you do for your class、friends and family.(让学生明白每 个人都有能力为他人做些事情的能力) 三、Homework 1.Read the text for three times. 2.Do what you promised to your mum on Mothers Day.
