Warm up: 1.Season song and review the words about seasons; 2.Free talk, teachers and students talk about their favorite seasons and reasons. Step 2. Before-reading tasks: 1.Show Billy and Betty on the screen, ask Ss to guess what will happen between them. 2.Ask Ss to listen to the first recording with several questions. Step 3. While-reading tasks: 1.Read silently and do some judgment. 2.Review the text by filling in the blanks. 3.Retell the story by key words. Step 4. After-reading tasks: 1.Listen again by reading the books, answer the questions, then complete the table for comparing the two characters. 2.Ask Ss to say something to Billy or Betty, and talk about what we learn from the story. Step 5. Sum up and homework: 1.Show some people in the scene of labor, let Ss know we must pay before harvest. 2.Ask Ss to make a table about“four seasons”, and tell it to friends and parents in English.
