Im your new teacher. Emotional goals: Students are active to communicate. Students show their friendship to friends. Learning strategies: Students are active to cooperate and complete the tasks together. Do you like Miss Miao. Hello, Miss Miao. Hi, Miss Miao. Nice to meet you, too. Sing the song. Get to know each other. 2 singing? Now everybody, stand up and lets sing together. Review (Game, song, chant) (1 min.) You know Im Miss Miao. And I stand here to teach. So Im a Teacher!Review the word that we have learned. And lead in. New concepts Part 1 Demonstrate (2 min.) How about this person? Show the picture of Mr. Wood. And stick it on the blackboard. Is he a teacher? And whos he? Lets listen. The students listen to the story about “A new teacher” Show the new thing. Practice (Play a game) (8 min.) The teacher asks the questions again. Now listen. Listen to the story sentence by sentence. Look! There are 3 people in the story. This time Im Mr. Wood. And say the sentences of the first picture. Who wants to be Jenny? Hello, Jenny. You can call me Mr. Wood. Nice to meet you too. Who wants to be Danny? The same way. This time 3 students work in a group and act them out. Which group wants to show? You know Im a teacher, too. Who wants to say hello to me. And who wants to say hi to me. He is Mr. Wood. Yes. Repeat the sentences. Say the sentences of the second picture. Nice to meet you Mr. Wood. The students choose the role they will play and practice. 3 students stand in the front of the classroom and show it. 3 students work in a group and act it out. Understand the story well and use it in real life. 3 Part 2 Demonstrate (2 min.) Wow, you did a good job! There is a boy. He wants to join you. Lets listen. Whos he? Is he a teacher? Students listen to the story about “A new friend”. Show the second part. Practice (Make a survey, sing a song.) (14 min.) The teacher asks the questions again. Now listen. Listen to the story sentence by sentence. (Picture 1 and picture 2) Look! There are 3 people in the story, too. Three students work in a group too, and act this part out. Then Jenny shows her friends to Steven. Lets listen. Who are they? Yes. His name is Danny. Her name is Kim. How many friends does Jenny have? So Jenny says these are my friends. Look! These are my friends. This is my friend. How about you? Look! This is my friend. Steven. He is a pupil. Repeat the sentences. 3 students stand in the front of the classroom and show it. Danny and Kim. These are my friends. This is my friend. The student writes the sentences about their own friends. Understand the story well and use it in real life to talk about their own friends. Class closing (3 min.) Let the students stand in the front of the classroom and say the sentences about their own friends. In the end, let them read a short poem about friendship.
