Travel to London 1London is one of the oldest and largest cities in the world. It is the capital city of 2the UK and it is by the River Thames, in the south-east of England. The city has a population of 3over 8,650,000 people, so it can sometimes feel crowded. 4In London there are many beautiful parks, gardens and wonderful museums. There are some great places in London, like Buckingham Palace, the British Museum, Big Ben, Tower Bridge and etc. They are so wonderful and great. Big Ben is not the name of a man. It is a name of the clock. It is in London. Its 150 years old and it still works well. The big clock has four faces. So you can read the time on each face. The hands are about four meters long. The big clock makes a very loud noise. “Ding dong. Ding dong”- the clock strikes every quarter of an hour. London Eye is a large Ferris wheel, its by the River Thames . It is 135 metres tall. It is the tallest Ferris wheel in Europe, and people love London Eye very much, over 3,500,000 people visit it every year. People can enjoy London easily on the London Eye. Hyde Park is one of the greatest city parks in the world. Its very large, over 350 acres and with over 4,000 trees, a large lake, many big trees and flower gardens, if you are there, youll forget you are in the centre of London. You can enjoy swimming, boating, skating or riding a bike or a horse there. Buckingham Palace is famous because Queen Elizabeth of England and her family live there. When the flag at the top of the palace is hanging, it means that Queen Elizabeth is in the palace just right now. British Museum is a museum with human history and culture. There are lots of collections from all over the world in it. And it is free for people! You can learn the history and culture about the human in the museum. Tower Bridge is a famous bridge over the River Thames in London. Every day thousands of people use it to cross the river. And when the tall ships pass, the bridge will lift for them to pass. There is a coffee shop, a museum about the bridge in Tower Bridge. You will enjoy your trip on the bridge. What interesting places in London! If I have a chance to go abroad, Ill travel to that city.
