1、Teaching Design M1 Changes and differences Unit3 Our school in the future I.Theory basis Under the standards, I design some activities, such as watching videos, making a mind map, creating a small play and making a poster to promote and develop the students language ability and creative thinking. II

2、.Analysis of the teaching material The content of my lesson is about our school in the future. From Moudle 1,Unit3 Oxford English, Book 6B. This unit includes 5 parts , Listen and say ; look and learn ; look and read ; Do a survey; and think and write. My teaching material is part 3 look and read .T

3、his part is about a text written by Joe , It mainly talks about schools of the future topic . It is made up of 5 pictures and by study of this part , Ss can master reading strategies and imagine what schools of the future will be like . III.Analysis of the students MystudentshavestudiedEnglishformor

4、ethan 3years .They have learned the simple present , past and future tense , so this lesson is easy for them to express the key sentences , and they are lack of reading skills , I should teach them to take some strategies , for example , circle the topic sentenceandkeywords,meanwhile,writingis indis

5、pensable,through studying in groups and giving them the outline of the text, students can solve their writing problems. IV.Teaching strategies. how to achieve the teaching objectives better, how to stress the key points and overcome the difficult points? The answer is proper teaching methods, Ill ma

6、inly use the communicative teaching method ,task-based teaching approachand situational teaching approach in this lesson. It is known to us that the kids are very active and like playing games very much, so during my class, Ill design some interesting games to stimulate the interest of the students.

7、 And the students will use the active learning and cooperative learning V.Teaching objectives As we all know: the main instructional aim of learning English in primary school is to cultivate pupils basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language, So I put forwa

8、rd the teaching objectives of this lesson as follows. 1. Students can understand, speak, and read the important words. 2. Understand the meaning of the text by reading and practice. 3. Understand the usage of the simple future tense. 4. Encourage students to co-operate with other people and try to f

9、ulfill their plans by actions in their daily life. VI.Teaching key points and difficult points the key-points of this lesson 1. Students can master the important words. 2. Students can express and communicate with partners using the sentence structure “We willin the future.” the teaching difficult p

10、oints are : 1. Students can talk about the future by using the sentence structure “We will ” 2. Students can distinguish the simple past tense and the simple future tense in the specific situations. VII.Teaching procedures The Teaching procedures and purposes of my designing Ill finish this lesson i

11、n six steps. Warm up and lead in ; presentation of the text ; presentation and practice ; consolidation ; production and summary . Stage 1 : Free talk T:What day is it today? Whats the date today? Whats your favourite subject? What do you like doing? Purpose:this step is used to review the knowledge

12、 in the former units and make an atmosphere of English learning. At the same time, lead the students into a comfortable environment to speak English and after watching a video,students can know something about todays topic Stage 2 : presentation of the text Students watch the flash and listen to it

13、carefully . It can help the students get a general idea about the text in whole. Stage 3 : Presentation and practice Step 1 : listen and filllisten to the flash and fill in the blank in their picture books. It can improvethe students ability for getting the key information. Step 2: Read in groups an

14、d finish the practice It can help the students be able to get the key information by reading in details. Stage 4: Consolidation Finish the mind map in this way the students can get a clear mind for the story and build the foundation for adding a creative ending for the text. Stage 5: Production Step

15、 1:Questions: 1.What do you think of your hometown? 2. Now suppose you are in the future, what changes would you like to see in your home town? My purpose is to develop the students logical thinking and critical thinking, meanwhile improve their ability to express their own ideas. Step 2 :Design a p

Step 3 : Poster Show My purpose is to enhance the students ability of expressing the text and their awareness of cooperation. It offers a choice for different levels of students. 17、eedback of students learning and inspire their confidence. They also consolidate the key language points in this lesson again. VIII.Homework: Ask the students to retellthe text to their parents and tell them what changes would they like to see in their hometown. Purpose:encourage the students to continue to be interested in reading stories and getting a lesson from what they read. IX.Blackboard design
