Module4 Unit2 Teaching Procedures I. Warmer/Revision 1. Sing the song “Make a face”. 2. Use the flashcards to review the words about body parts we learned in Unit 1. Let students read the words as quickly as possible. 3. Greet to the students and have a free talk. T: How are you today? S: I am happy. T: Look at me. This is my nose. This is my hand. This is my body. How about you? S: This is my leg. This is my face. This is my hand. II. The presentation of the new material 1. T: Yesterday we meet a new friend: Panpan. The teacher uses PPT to show the photo of Panpan. T(points Panpans one eye): Whats this? Ss: Its an eye. T(points two eyes): Yes. What are these? Ss: These are two eyes. T: I can act Panpan. Hello, everyone. These are my eyes. These are my ears. The teacher shows a picture of an ant. T: Look at the ant. How many leg are there? Ss: Eight legs. T: Not eight legs. These are six legs and two tentacles. T(points at the feet): What are these? Ss: These are feet. T: Who can act the ant to introduce its body parts? S: Hello. These are my legs. I have six legs. These are my eyes. These are my feet. T: Yes. These are your feet. These are your legs. Then the teacher shows a picture of an elephant and teaches other body parts in the same way. 2. The teacher writes the two sentences” These are my legs. These are your feet. ” on the blackboard and invite some students to be little teacher to read the sentences. Emphasis the pronunciation of ”these“ and the plural form of the noun. 3. The teacher shows students the picture of activity 2 and asks: What are these? The teacher writes the sentence “What are these?” on the Bb and lead students to read. Ss: These are spiders. T: We have two eyes. Do you know how many eyes a spider have? The Mother spider and her baby are talking about their eyes. Lets listen what they are saying and find out how many eyes does a spider have? Teacher plays the tape and let students listen and answer the question. Ss: The spider has eight eyes. T: Who can act a spider to introduce its body parts? Invite one student two introduce and others follow him or her. III. Drill 1. Watch the video of activity 2. Ask students to read and imitate twice. 2. Pair works. Act the spiders in the activity 2. Invite four pairs from four groups and have a match among the groups. See which pair can imitate the best and act the best. 3. The teacher draws a body on the board and points at one part of the body. Then ask students to touch the same part on their own body and say what these are. e.g. The teacher points to the feet and asks: What are these? Ss will touch their feet and say: These are my knees. Then the teacher can invite one student to be little teacher to point. IV. Practice 1. Use PPT to show students a monster with two heads, ten hands, four eyes and two mouths. The teacher acts the monster, points at one part and asks: What are these? Ss: These are your eyes. Then let one St act the monster and ask. 2. Make a monster. Let students draw a monster and show the picture with others. Then act the monster and describe the body parts. E.g. Look at me. This is my head. It is small. These are my hands. These are my feet. They are big. V Consolidation 1. Review the basic sentences and words on the blackboard. 2. Pair work. Let students describe their body parts to each other. VI. Homework 1. Listen and act the text. 2. Describe the monster you draw with your parents.
