Greet the students. 2. Show a picture of the students, ask them to guess what they are looking for. Step 2 Step 2 Pre-reading 1. Share how they like snails. 2. Look at the cover and guess. What is it doing? How does he feel? Is he moving quickly or slowly? Why? Step 3 While-reading 1. Fast reading : Where did the snail go? Did he arrive there? (1) Tell students you are having races to go to the sea, too. (2) Lead students to understand Sammy the Snail had no house long ago. (3) Observe the map. What can you see on the map? Where is the snail? Who can give me direction to the sea? (4) Lead students to experience Sammys feeling in the rainy weather, hurt by the cactus. And ask them to think about other things the snail may take. 2. Reading for details (1) Did he take some other things again? What else did he take? Why? Open the e- book. Read the story and then finish the matching. (2) Read the table together, and try to act it out with the material objects (3) Discuss in three or four: What else do you think he worry about?
