Teaching materials: PPT; form; cards;headdress. Teaching steps: I. Warmer: 1. Divide the students into two teams. The monkey is for Team 1. The rabbit is for Team 2. Explain the game rule. 2. Sing a number song. 3. Chant. II. New lesson: 1. Watch the video and find, “How old is Sue?” 2. S1 answer the question and learnhow old. Teacher explain and show, “How old are you?”. Then teach to read and spell it. 3. Ask students the question, “How old are you?” When somebody answer, “Im eight years old.” The team walks up one step.Teach Ss to write the sentence. 4. Ss copy these two sentences in four wire. 5. Teacher explain that If you ask an old woman in the western countries, “How old are you?” She will say , “its a secret.” 6. Watch the video again and find, “Which class is Sue in?” 7. S2 answer, “She is in class 2.” Teacher teach class. Teach which with its meaning and pronunciation. Then guess the meaning of which class. One animal walk up one step. Teach to read the sentence Which class are you in? Show the sentence and stick it on the blackboard. Then try to spell it. Call some students to answer. When someone answer, “Im in class one.”Teach to write it. Ss copy the sentences in four wire. Then chant. 8. Ss think, “What kind of person is Bill?” Teacher help sum up, Bill is happy , kind and friendly. Guide Ss to be kind with others. 9. Look, listen and repeat the sentences carefully, read the dialogue, then act it in the front. 10. Make a card for Sue, then sing a song. III. Activity: 1. Welcome new classmate Teacher ask the new student to stand up. Have a greeting. Then ask other students, “Do you want to make good friends with her?” Ss be happy to talk to her. 2. Group work Ask and answer in chain . 3. Listen to the dialogue and complete the form , then have a report. 4. Enjoy the cartoon stars. 5. Watch the video and judge the sentences with T or F. 6. Read the letter and fill in the blanks and check the answer. IV. Summary: T: This class Team one is the winner. Children, what did you learn this class? Ss: Ive learned how to greetings with new classmates or new friends. How to write the sentences. T:Watch a video and have a break. V. Homework: 1. Extend greetings to new classmates friendly. 2. Write the sentences carefully. VI. Handwriting on the Bb: Unit 1 Myself Lesson 2 How old are you? Im eight years old. Which class are you in? Im in class one.
