The teaching procedures Step1.Warming up &Lead in. a. T: Boys and girls, today well learn unit5 Lets eat! Firstly, lets do!( watch the flash and do actions) b. Show a picture of much delicious food. (Body language)T: Oh, Im hungry! Are you hungry? Ss: Yes! c. T: Well, Your friend Zoom is hungry, too. Look, restaurant! Lets go! Step2.Presentation a. (Show a kid menu ) T: Look, This is a kids menu. What are they? Ss: Bread, eggs, fish, rice, milk, juice.(Show the pictures and find students to talk about the food. The right one will get a star) b. T: (Show a Coke) Well, Its a Coke. Read after me, Coke Coke, C-O-K-E, Coke. Read the word one by one. c. T: (Show a picture of ice cream) Well, yeah ice cream. Read after me, ice cream ice cream. Read the word one by one. d. T: Well, what do you want to have? For example, Id like some bread. Can I have some fish, please? S1: Id like some bread. T: Sure. (Body language) S1: Can I have some fish, please? T: Here you are. (Body language) e. T: Well, Do you want to know what Zoom wants to have? Lets enjoy the flash. (play the flash twice) Step3.Practice a. (Show a chart)T: What did Zoom buy? Please enjoy again, and then work in groups to fill the chart. OK? Lets go! After several minutes, find some groups to show their chart. Then check the answers. b. Enjoy the flash again, then teacher asks a question “Where is the fish?” Then answer and check the answer. c. Practice the words. (Teacher points the word, students say the word quickly) (The right one will get a star) d. Teach and read this story. Step4.Consolidation a. Role-play this story Four students are in a group. One is a waiter, one is Zoom, one is the cat, the last one is an audience. Teacher gives students several minutes to work in groups. Then show it to the front. The best one will get a gift. (the Coke) b. Show some pictures of much delicious food. Then show some pictures of unfinished food. They are very dirty.
