By study of this unit, the Ss know how to talk about the school things with simple words and sentences in English. The 4 new words and the sentence patterns are the main and difficult points

2、 of this lesson. The study of this lesson will help the Ss with daily communication. II.Analysis of the students Our students are in grade 4. They are active and curious, interested in new things. After learning English for one and a half years, they have some basic English background knowledge, so

3、the teacher should attach importance to the communication with them, providing them chances of using language. III. Teaching aims 1.Aims on the knowledge To enable the Ss to read, recognize, and use these words: excuse me, colour, blue and white, English book,notebook, key ,candy, toy. And these sen

4、tences: Excuse me. I lost my.What colour is it? Whats in it? 2.Aims on the abilities (1) To develop Ssabilities of listening and speaking. (2) To train the Ssability of working in groups. (3) To foster Ssabilities of communication and their innovation. 3.Aims on the emotion (1)To foster Ssconsciousn

5、ess of good co-operation and proper competition. (2) To lead Ss to take care of their own things. IV. Key-points of this lesson (1) To help Ss ask and answer the question: Whats in it? (2) To enable Ss to study in groups and co-operate skillfully. (3) To develop Ssinterest in English. V.Difficult po

6、ints (1) To help the Ss ask and answer the question “Whats in it?” and make sure they can use the plural nouns correctly. (2) To enable Ss to describe things in their schoolbags in English fluently with their partners. VI. Teaching methods and aids In this lesson Ill mainly use “Task-based” teaching

7、 method. I will let the Ss learn in real situations, finish a task by ask and answer to help the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of the dialogue. I will arrange four kinds of activities: singing, reviewing words about school things and books , finishing task of ask and answer i

8、n listening, making a new dialogue of Xiao Xin and have a competition . And in this lesson I will make use of a recorder, CAI, school things and blackboard.Students should prepare some school things. VII. Teaching procedures Step 1. Warm-up and preview 1. Free talk between T and Ss about things in t

9、he classroom. 2. Sing the song together: My schoolbag. 3. Do some TPR, for example: Show me your English book. Show me your crayon. 4. Review the colors by asking: “What color is it ?” Step 2. Presentation 1. Present the key words and sentence patterns: notebook,key, candy, toy and “What color is it

10、?Whats in your schoolbag?” (1) Show a picture of notebook and say: “Look! Whats this? Its a notebook.” Let Ss read after teacher. Then ask: What color is it? Introduce the answer: It is . Then lead the Ss to read the sentence. Make sure they can say it correctly. (2) Show pictures of key, candy and

Let Ss read after teacher and make sure they can say correctly. 2.Discussion: Let Ss talk about the following questions and see who can list the most. Whats in your schoolbag? What color is it? 3. With the help of the CAI to present

12、 the dialogue. Set a situation to help Ss understand the instructional situation of the dialogue. 4.Finish tasks inAsk and Answer through listening. 5. Play the cassette. Let the Ss listen and imitate the dialogue. Pay attention to their pronunciation and intonation. Step 3. Practice Divide Ss into

13、groups of two children. Try to make a new dialogue about Xiao Xin and his lost pencil box. Practise the dialogue in pairs and choose several pairs to play in front of the classroom.
