Its aim to improve the students reading abilities , especially hav e the students master the reading skills.“Noting the supporting deta ils”. 1. Teaching objects The teaching aims are established according to Junior School E nglish curriculum standard provision. A. Knowledge goals (1). Words Cooperative learning ,mind-map, brainstorm ,demonstrating , multimedia teaching ; Part 3. Learning methods (1). Think independently and group wok 3 (2). Ask the students to take part in class actively and develop their cooperation in the activities. Part 4. Analysis the students The students have mastered the grammar ,and they also have st rong reading abilities. So it is not difficult for them to understand the passage. Part 5. Teaching procedures I have designed the following steps to train their ability of listenin g, speaking, reading and writing , especially reading and writing. Set up steps. It is lead-in -before reading while reading a fter- reading Grammar homework . Step Lead- in . Have the students enjoy a piece of music ,then present the brainsto rming about music. After that , have the students talk about the k inds of instruments so that present erhu folk music .Have the stude nts enjoy the piece of music Moon Reflected on Second Spring.Fin ally have the students talk about the feelings about the piece of mu sic . Purpose: Arouse the students interest of study. Bring in new sub ject: Sad but Beautiful. Step II Before reading 4 Watch a vedio about Abing with the music Moon Reflected on Sec ond Spring .Have the student guess who played the piece. Purpose: Through this part we can present the character Abing , have the student know the background about the main character. Step III while reading In this part, well use the task-teaching methods .And we devid ed the part into two parts ,including fast-reading and careful-reading. In fast-reading , we have four questions to have the students ge t the main idea about the passage. Then well finish 2c on p72. In this step Ss should finish the task by the reading skills:“No ting the supporting details, Before finish the reading tasks. T should explain the main ideas and supporting details. After th at, Ss should finish another task “Reading comprehension”. Its aim to teach the Ss the skills. Purpose: To improve the Ss reading ability. Step IV After reading. In this part: I designed 2 tasks. One is a time-table about Abin gs life. First, the students should finish filling the blanks in the ti me-table .Then have them cooperate to retell the story in small gr oup .And one of the group members should show their story to us .W hen the students are preparing the work.T should give the students 5 some tips of writing an article. For example,try to use more conjun ctions to make the article more beautiful. The other task is to finish 2d on P71 .In this task ,students sho uld master the attributive clauses and some key words Purpose: Train the Ss writing ability and consolidate the attributiv e clauses. Step V Activity (make a news conference). After finishing all the tasks .To improve the students speaking ab ility. The teacher designed an activity .Abing has gone through the time to modern society. And he will make a news conference .In t his part .Abing will encourage the students should have their own hobbies and dreams .
