Unit 9 I like music that I can dance to. Section A (3A3c) 一、教材分析 本节课课型为阅读课,文本主要内容是一篇关于电影喜好的文章。本单元话题是谈论 music and movies, 主要的语法是定语从句。本单元要求学生学会使用定语从句表达自己对音乐和电影的喜好。 通过 Section A 的学习,学生应掌握一些与音乐和电影相关的词汇,能够通过听读获取有关音乐和电 影的相关信息,了解以 that, which, who 引导的定语从句在不同语境中的功能和作用,并能模仿和表 达自己喜欢的音乐和电影。 3a-3c 的阅读板块提供了一篇关于电影的文章。3a 要求学生从文中找出不同的电影类型和提及的 电影名称;3b 主要引导学生关注文中的细节;3c 则是让学生根据短文信息,结合自己的实际回答问题, 填写表格,为 B 部分的学习做好铺垫。 二、学情分析 九年级的学生有了一定的知识积累,对老师的上课风格已熟悉,能够在老师的指导下,独立完成 一些课堂的学习任务。但由于经过了七八年级的学习,很多学生两极分化,对英语已经失去了兴趣。 九年级的学生的心理已经比较成熟,能够静下心来学习的同学越来越多,但由于性格等因素的影响, 也各有不同。有的同学性格外向一点,比较爱表达,对于知识的理解和吸收都比较快一些;有的同学 本来就比较沉默,又不善于学习和总结,学起来就会比较困难。特别是阅读文章,更是难于上青天。 对于不同的学生应采取不同的教学手段,因材施教。 三、教学目标 1、学习新单词和短语:stick to, down, dialog, ending, documentary, drama, superhero, intelligent, stick to, plenty of, shut off, once in a while. 2、掌握如何表达自己喜好的句型,能够根据阅读文本仿写自己关于某一部或某种类型电影的看法。 3、掌握 that/which/who 引导的定语从句的用法。 4、能够运用扫读和略读等策略在有限的时间内完成阅读任务。 5、通过恰当表达自己对于电影的喜好、与他人的交流,提高自己的欣赏美的水平。来源 6、学会通过看电影等方式放松自己。:Z_xx_k.Com 四、教法和学法来源:学.科.网 运用 PPT 呈现问题和图片等,既能丰富上课形式,又能扩充上课容量,同时提高教育教学效率。 在上课的过程中,要以学生为主体,充分发挥学生的积极性和主体性,通过小学合作和独立学习阅读 等方法,摸索阅读的技巧和方法,并通过自己的努力完成对文本的理解和复述。 五教学重难点 1、教学重点: 1)学会用 that/which/who 引导的定语从句描述自己喜好。 2)引导学生掌握本文的词汇 2、教学难点:学会用 that/which/who 引导的定语从句描述自己喜好。 六、教学过程 (一)Warming up 1、打开 PPT,播放制作好的相关电影图片资料,激发学生想进一步了解、讨论电影的兴趣,同时引 出本课主题-谈论自己对各种电影的喜好来源:学#科#网 Z#X#X#K 2、讨论回答问题: 1)Whats the name of this movie? 2) What kind of movies do you know? 3)What are dramas? What are documentaries? 3、Discuss:What king of movies do you like? Why? What kind of movies dont you like? Why not? (设计说明:通过 PPT 播放,能迅速让学生了解这节阅读课大概是讲与有关 movies 的话题) (二)自 主学习 学生自读课文,找出文章提及的电影种类,相关电影名字,及有关这类电影信息和作者的感受。 Read the article .Underline the different kinds of the movies and circle the names of movies. (设计说明:以划线和画圈的方式,让学生在阅读时理清文章脉络。 ) (三)Fast reading 快读,找出每一段的中心句。因为每一段就是围绕这个中心句展开的,结构自然 在寻找中逐渐清晰明了。这时学生已然对文章大致了解,接下来就是细节了,我就完全交给了学生。 Tell the student to open the books and begin to read. While some people stick to only one kind of movie, I like to watch different kinds depending on how I feel that day. When Im down or tired, I prefer movies that can cheer me up. Comedies like Men in Black or cartoons like Kung Fu Panda have funny dialogs and usually have a happy ending. The characters may not be perfect, but they try their best to solve their problems. After watching them, the problems suddenly seem less serious and I feel muvh better again. Laughing for two hours is a good way to relax! I dont watch dramas or documentaries when Im sad or tired. Dramas like Titanic make me feel even sadder. Documentaries like March of the Penguins which provide plenty of information about a certain subject can be interesting, but when Im tired I dont like to think too much. I dont mind action movies like Spider-Man when Im too tired to think. I can just shut off my brain, sit back and enjoy watching an exciting superhero who always saves the world just in time. Once in a while, I like to watch movies that are scary. They can be fun, but Im too tired to watch them alone. I always bring a friend who isnt afraid of these kinds of movies, and it doesnt feel so scary anymore. Find out the topic sentence of each paragraph.
