Can you tell me the way to the ocean? I am glad I am faster than the lion. I wish my friends could see it. He made his bed in the sand and started to dream.从人文精神方面来说,老师要引导学生品味兔子不畏艰险追求梦想的精神,并向兔子学习这种精神。教学目标:1. 知识目标:学生在老师的引导下理解故事中的词、句,并能用关键句说话2. 能力目标:通过学习,学生能在老师的协助下讲述本故事,并能模仿各个角色的语气,合作表演出故事。3. 情感态度目标:学生能从故事中感受到兔子追求梦想的精神,并以此鼓励自己怀抱梦想并不畏困难追求自己的梦想。教学重点:引导学生理解故事中的句子,帮助学生用英文讲述故事,表演故事教学难点:帮助学生理解 I wish 的用法,品味句中的过去式和比较级在故事中的意义。教学过程:一、激趣热身,导入课题我将采取 Free talk 的方式进行课前热身及课题导入:Q: Do you have dreams?Ss: Yes.T: Me too. I have some pictures show you. (此处配 PPT 图解T: What are the films about? Ss:T: They all have dreams.He wants to be a Singer. He wants to be a Kitchener. He wants to be a Pilot.Q: What is your dream? How will you make your dream come true?Ss: I want to _.I will _.设计意图:此处设计的目的有两个,一是为了引导学生谈谈自己的梦想,为故事作铺垫并进行适当的人文渗透,二是为了帮助学生理解短语 make ones dream come true 的用法,为后文故事讲解及复述进行铺垫。二、呈现课题,品味故事1. 引出课题并以观看视频的方式初步感知故事,引导学生理解故事起因和结局T: Today we are going to talk about dreams.直接呈现课题“A story- The rabbits dream”.T: Watch a short video and think:Q1: How many animals does the rabbit meet? Who are they? Six. Theyre.(依次呈现 6 个动物并贴动物)Q2: What is the rabbits dream? He wants to see the ocean. (板书:I want to see the ocean)Q3: Does he fulfill his dream?Yes, he does.让学生欣赏美丽的大海,领悟兔子的感受,情不自禁的说出:Wow, the ocean, it looks beautiful.让学生进一步深入思考:Did his friends see the ocean? Its not true now.设计意图:让学生初听,初观故事,能掌握故事大致的情节,然后再依次挖掘具体的信息。通过以上三个问题的设计,学生基本对整个故事都有所了解。而且教师在设计最后一个问题的时候巧妙了询问学生:“他的梦想实现了吗?”学生回答实现后教师让学生欣赏美丽的大海,孩子们会自发的将“Wow, the ocean, it looks beautiful.脱口而出。既然大海如此美丽,难怪兔子会历经各种困难来看海,进而过度到询问学生“Do you want to see the ocean?”最后过渡到兔子的朋友们看到大海了吗?整个环节自然而流畅,对于学生来说,不仅易学易懂,而且感情的渗透,新词的教授也融入其中。”2. 带着问题细读故事,深度理解故事脉络核心问题:Is it easy to make his dream come true? And why?解决故事第 1 幅图:Its too far. Its too dangerous. 模仿语气品读这两句话,理解 far 和 dangerous 的意义,并体会 frog 和 mouse 对兔子的关心。T: In our life, there are also many dangerous situations.(结合故事中青蛙和老鼠的句子 Dont Its dangerous 引导学生说dangerous)出现生活中常见的危险状况:闯红灯、摸电源、翻窗户,引导学生能正确并合适的运用 Its dangerous。Ss: They are dangerous.学习短语: dangerous situations.老师小结并过渡:The way to the ocean is too far and dangerous. T: Does the rabbit know the way to the ocean?T: How does he ask the way? (借助以上两个问题,引出狮子、蛇与兔子的对话并理解问路方式,最后操练动物之间的对话。 )Ss: Excuse me. How do/can I get to the ocean? 到达Excuse me. Can you tell me the way to the ocean? 告诉我去的路教师过渡:T:The rabbit ask the lion and the snake the way to the ocean, do they tell the rabbit the way?Ss: No, they dont. (自然而然的过渡到狮子和蛇的真正意图,一层层深入故事,学生一步步挖掘故事。 )设计意图:通过核心问题引领本部分故事的教授,学生在思考这个问题的时候就自然而然的想到了故事开始兔子的好朋友青蛙和老鼠的话“dangerous” “ far”从而自然的理解 far 和 dangerous 的意义,并体会 frog 和 mouse 对兔子的关心。进而拓展对 dangerous 的理解,并将所学结合于生活实际,学以致用,培养学生的安全意识。闯红灯、摸电源、翻窗户等等,引导学生能正确并合适的运用 Its dangerous。教师巧妙的过度:去看大海的路很远很危险,而兔子不知道去大海的路,他是如何问路的呢?他问了谁呢?他们知道路吗?他们的真正意图是什么呢?通过一系列的问题触发学生思考,不仅顺理成章的理清了故事的脉络,整个故事也跌宕起伏,更加趣味十足。3.让学生能自然的想到并说出狮子和蛇的真正目的:Rabbit for breakfast, yummy! Rabbit for dinner, mmm. 让学生模仿并表演,真实的感受狮子和蛇的想法。T:引入思考:Did they eat the rabbit? And why?Ss: No, they didnt.T: The lion wants to catch the rabbit, but the rabbit run and run. Who is faster?Ss: The rabbit.T: Yes, the rabbit is faster than the lion.和学生跑步游戏:让学生能亲自感受 fast 和 faster 的区别,并能运用活学活用 faster than .T:进一步深入挖掘主人翁兔子的情感:How is the rabbit feel?Ss: glad. (板书:兔子移到狮子处,并对应的写上 glad.)T: The snake wants to catch the rabbit, too. But the rabbit runs away. Who is faster?Ss: The rabbit.T: Yes, the rabbit is faster than the snake. How is the rabbit feel?Ss: lucky. (板书:粘上蛇,并对应的写上 lucky.)设计意图:故事进行到这里,兔子没有被狮子蛇吃掉,引导学生思考原因,并理解本课的难点之一“faster than”教师通过自己与学生比赛跑步,让学生与学生跑步这种亲身体验的方式亲身感受比较级,一来学生能直观的感受到“faster than”的意义,二来紧贴本部分故事,故事中是兔子跑的快,体现在“run”所以这种师生,生生之间的“run”更能感同生受。而且跑赢了孩子内心会特别高兴,那么学生通过这种方式更能体会兔子的那种高兴“glad”与幸运“lucky”教师再来让学生谈论兔子的内心情感并板书就更有说服力。4. Group work: T:Read and act out the story in groups.表演故事 2-6 幅图进行语言输出。设计意图:将所学故事用自己的方式呈现展示出来,再次感受故事,理解故事,巩固故事。5. 继续学习故事,了解故事结局过渡语:The rabbit escaped from the lion and the snakes mouth, what can he do? Will he give up his dream? Lets watch the video together.播放图 7 至 12 的故事视频,完成几道判断题: The elephant doesnt know the way to the ocean.( T:Why? Which sentence?让学生自己画出来)T:How is the rabbit feel?The owl takes the rabbit to the ocean.(板书:兔子移到猫头鹰处,并对应的写上 happy)T:How is the rabbit feel? The rabbit was happy to see the ocean. T:Why? Which sentence? The rabbit sleeps in his bed.出以上 4 道判断题既考查了学生的阅读及观察能力,也将本部分中的重要知识点涵盖其中,如:take me there=take me to the ocean; make ones bed以及 I wish 表达愿望。设计意图:通过教师提出疑虑,让学生思考:去看大海的路困难重重,兔子会放弃吗?引导学生继续思考,并通过视频解开疑惑。再让学生自读故事后半部分,由动到静,进一步的深入了解故事,并且通过“画”的形式,让学生对文本进行精读,体会兔子遇到大象和猫头鹰的心情,一来让感情贯穿于整个故事之中,为后面感情的渗透做铺垫。二来融入感情的故事对于学生来说更有吸引力。6.拓展思维,发挥想象:故事的最后一句:Started to dream,让学生思考:What does he dream about? 设计意图:故事不仅仅是故事,故事之所以是故事,是因为故事本身没有局限性,需要启发学生的想象力与思考能力。为此教师紧抓最后一句“Started to dream”启发学生发散思维:兔子会梦见什么呢?天马行空的想象,任驰骋!7. Group work 小组合作任务 1:给故事后半段 P47 配音.(分有字幕,无字幕,给故事分层次配音,照顾了学生的个体差异,鼓励学生全员参与。 )任务 2:根据提示完成填空,讲述故事。The rabbit has a dream. He wants to _. But the ocean is too _ and too _.He doesnt know the way. Why? 让学生根据自己的理解,发散自己的思维,说一说自己的感受,彻底的理解故事人物。设计意图:学生是有感情的,也有自己喜好的故事人物,结合兔子遇到狮子、蛇、大象、老鹰的心情,教师设计了这样一个环节,让学生谈谈自己喜欢的动物,既发散了学生的思维,又可以巧妙的解析动物的性格,渗透品行教育,两全其美。四、小结故事,人文渗透老师表达自己喜欢的动物并进行适当的人文渗透。T: I like the rabbit best. Because he has a dream. It is difficult to make his dream come true. But he never gives up. It moves me.老师赠语:Never give up your dreams. Work hard. I believe you can fulfill your dream someday! 设计意图:学生发散思维的谈论自己喜欢的动物后,教师谈谈自己喜欢兔子的原因,并适当的进行人文渗透,润物细无声,亲切而自然。
