1、 Unit 3 How do you get to school? 教材解读 本单元以 Transportation为话题,通过单元教学,学生将学会用三个 how questions 谈论如何到达一个目的地,行程多长时间及距离有多远。另外 , 学生还将掌握不同交通方式的英语表达,了解不同国家和地区的学生是采用何种交通方式去学校的。学好本课,学生还能够加深对一般现在时态的理解和运用,也可以用英语来和别人讨论到达某地的最佳方式。 单元目标 一、知识与技能 1. 掌握重点单词及短语。 2. 了解世界不同地区学生的上学 方式。 3. 学生能表达自己和周围同学的交通方式 。 二、过程与方法 采用 Usi

2、ng contest guessing 和 Role playing 的学习策略,利用教学图片、录音机或多媒体课件来展开课堂的听力和口语交际活动。 三、情感态度与价值观 不同的出行目的可以选择不同的交通工具 , 不同交通工具带来不同的心灵感受 ,让学生懂得从环保这一角度出发 ,了解交通工具给环境带来的影响,尽量选择低碳环保的交通工具出行。 教法导航 采用直观教学法,遵循以学生为主体的原则。 学法导航 采用 Using contest guessing 和 Role playing 的学习策略, 课时支配 第 1 课时: Section A 1a2c 第 2 课时: 2d3c 第 3 课时: S

4、字。 教法导航 课上引导学生积极参与课堂活动,老师少讲,鼓励学生多练。 学法导航 加强小组合作学习,积极回答问题 教学准备 图片 、 录音机 、 多媒体 。 教学过程 Step 1 Greetings T: Greet the students as usual. Step 2 New words Show some pictures of the new words on the screen. Ask students to try to read these words: bike, train, subway, car, ship, boat, bus, airplane A word

5、 game. Ask the students to look through the new words quickly, then check how many they can remember. Give students some pictures about the new words and some word cards. The teacher shows the new words or the pictures of the new words on the screen. If the teacher shows the word “train” to the stud

6、ents, the student who got the picture of the train should stand up quickly and say “Im here!” And so on.) Step 3 Practice Show the picture of 1a on the screen and get the students to match the words with the pictures. Step 4 Listening Ask students to look at the picture in their books. Ask them some

7、 questions about the picture: What can you see in the picture? How many people are there in the picture? What are they doing? And then, play the recording twice for the students to listen and ask the students to finish Activity 1b. Step 5 Pair work Show the picture of 1a and the answer of 1b on the

8、screen and the teacher asks a student: How does Mary get to school? Help him/her to answer: She takes the subway. Then ask another two students to practice the same dialogue. And then make up other dialogues according to the picture and the answer of 1b. Step 6 Presentation Ask one student: How old

9、are you? And then get another student to guess the teachers age to help them to go over the numbers. Then show some numbers on the screen one by one on the screen and get the student to speak them out. Step 7 Listening 2a Play the tape for the students to listen and repeat and then write down the nu

10、mbers they hear on their books. Step 8 Practice Show a short video on the screen: A: How do you get to school? B: I walk. A: How long does it take? B: It takes about 20 minutes. A: How far is it from your home to the school? B: Only about 2 kilometers. And then get some pairs to act out the dialogue

11、. Step 9 Listening 2b Play the tape for the students to listen and complete the chart. Play at least twice. And then ask some students to write down their answers on the blackboard. It takes about 15 minutes. 2. 复习一般现在时,注意第三人称单数的使用。 二、过程与方法 将抽象知识具体化,帮助学生总结规律,系统地学习语法。调动学生的积极性,引导他们积极参与课堂。 三、情感态度与价值观 通过询问家人、朋友的出行方式,增进与家人和朋 友的感情。 教学重点 1. 掌握重点短语和句子: by bike / bus, How lon

15、students to report their dialogue. Step 3 Practice Show a video: A: How do you get to school? B: I ride my bike. A: How long does it take to get to school? B: It takes about 15 minutes. A: How far is it from your home to school? B: Its only about two kilometers. Then get some pairs to practice it. F

16、inally get all the students to practice in pairs. Practice the following dialogue in the same way: A: Does Jane walk to school? B: No, she doesnt. She goes by bike. A : Do they take the bus to school? B:No, they dont. They wa lk. Step 4 Matching and practicing 3a Match the questions with the answers

17、. Get the students to have a competition to look at who is the first to finish the exercise. And the group that the winner belongs to can get a red flag. Then give the students several minutes to practice the dialogues and ask some pairs to act them out in front of the class. Step 5 Game Give each g

18、roup some cards with words on them, each card each word. And then get the students to make up question sentences with these words. The group who complete first is the winner. Then get the students to practice asking and answering in pairs. Step 6 Competition Work in groups. Ask questions according t

19、o the answers in the chart of 3c. The first student to fill in the blanks wins. Get the students to remember the important phrases and sentences: get to school, ride a bike, take the bus, by bike/bus, walk to school. How do you get to school?
