4、Whiteboard5教学过程备 注Step 1 Observing and discovering1.Ask students to underline the restrictive relative clauses in the sentences in Activity 1 on page 52.2.Ask some students to translate these sentences into Chinese and answer the following questions:1)Which noun is modified by the relative clause?2)

6、present their work to the class. Check their answers at the same time. 5.Put students into pairs and have them translate the sentences into Chinese to each other. Also ask them to identify which nouns are modified by those relative clauses.Step 2 Focusing on different pronouns1.Present all the sente

7、nces with restrictive relative clauses from the text on page 50 on the screen (or the blackboard) together with those from Activity 1. Ask students to categorize the sentences according to the different relative pronouns used in the sentences.2.Provide the correct answers for students. 3. Ask studen

8、ts to work in groups of four and discuss the meaning and function of each relative pronoun.4.Invite some students to present their results and check at the same time.Step 3 Practicing1.Ask students to complete Activity 2 on page 52 and Activities 1-2 on page 90.2.Check the answers with the class. 3.

9、Ask students to read the requirement of Activity 3 on page 52 and the example of the conversation.
