Teaching Difficult Points: How to develop students ability of making up their everyday conversation by using the key sentence patterns in this unit. III. Teaching Meathods: 1. Question-and-answer activities to help stude

3、nts review the key sentence patterns theyve learnt in Section A. 2. Listening task to help them get a general idea about what to role play. 3. Individual and pair work to make every student work in class. IV.Teaching Aids: Multi-media, PPT, Blackboard V. Teaching Procedures: Teaching Procedures Cont

4、ent Step 1 Greeting Step2 Revision and Lead-in 1. Lead in by chanting about weather. 2. Review key sentence patterns in Section A by looking at the pictures and listening to the sound and guessing. 3. Ask some questions: a) Hows the weather?/ Whats the weather like? b) Whats he/she doing in the pict

Step3 Learning Goals shown 1Can read and spell the following new words dry; cool; cold; warm; hot; visit; terrible orange juice; sit by the pool; write a letter climb the mountains 2.Can ask and describe the weather by using the key sentence patterns: 1) Hows the weather? Its snowy and cold. 2)

6、 Whats she doing? Shes drinking orange juice. Step4 Learn key words and phrases 1. Lead students to read the new words and phrases twice when learning goals are shown. 2. Pictures about new words and phrases are shown for students to guess, and then lead them to read while writing the phonetic symbo

7、ls on the blackboard. 3. Check their pronunciation by asking them to read the key words and phrases one by one. 4. add four seasons to expand their vocabularies and practice asking and answering about weather. 5. Further study key words and phrases though 1a and 2a in the textbook. And continue prac

8、ticing the key sentence patterns by asking and answering questions and working in pairs. Step5 Listening And Role play 1. listen and write answers to the three questions in 1c. 2. Read the conversation from the tape follow the teacher. 3. Read in roles(Boys are Eric while Girls are Mary) to compete.

9、 4. Make up conversations in pairs including four key sentence patterns. 5. Role play it out in class. 6. Other students take notes and answer questions.
