Greetings T and students greet each other saying “Good morning” and “How are you” to each other. 2. Lead in (T leads in the class by reviewing the title of unit 6. ) First, T asks students to revi
4、ew the title of unit 6. Then, T asks students if we can delete “am” or the “ing” form of the verb. At last, T chooses one student to tell the meaning of the sentence “Im watching TV” and then asks students the question “Are you watching TV?”. Thus, the content of “wh-questions” and “yes-no questions
5、” will be presented afterwards. 3. Presentation T shows students many pictures on which there are both wh-questions and yes-no questions as following: Are you watching TV? What are you doing? Is she sleeping? What is she doing? Is he brushing teeth? What is he doing? Are they running? What are they
6、doing? T gives students a task to write down all the questions that they have seen just now; After that, T asks students to observe and find out the common character of these sentences. T thereafter shows students what wh-questions and yes-no questions are. After the teaching of wh-questions and yes
7、-no questions, a game is played here to practice the use of yes-no and wh-questions as well as to have some fun After the game, T shows students two sentences as following: Shes exercising (now). She exercises (on Mondays/ every night/ in the mornings). T explains the two sentences one by one to stu
8、dents. Then the present continuous tense and present simple are taught while explaining the two sentences, including their meaning, structure and symbol words etc. 4. Consolidation In the part of teaching wh- and yes-no questions, the practices are: example giving and choice making. (Ask students to
9、 give more examples of wh-questions and yes-no questions; T gives students some questions and let them decide if these questions belong to wh-questions or yes-no questions and then answer these questions after the choice is made) In the part of teaching present continuous and present simple, the practices are: Sentence making and blank filling 5.
