1、Unit 5 Why do you like pandas? Section B 1 (1a-1d) 一、教学目标: 1. 语言知识目标: 1) 能掌握本课新单词(four skills):friendly, shy 2) 能掌握以下句型: What animals do you like? I like elephants. -I like pandas because theyre very cute. -I dont like lions because theyre really scary. 3) 通过听力训练来掌握提高学生们综合听说能力。 4)通过听力对话训练来让学生们逐步提高综合

2、语言运用能力。 2. 情感态度价值观目标: 动物和人类都生活在同一地球上,动物是我们的朋友。我们人类应该与动 物和谐相处,共同生存。我们应当学会关爱动物,保护动物。 二、教学重难点 1. 教学重点: 1) 让学生们进行听、说的训练来掌握更多动物的名称及描述特性的形容词。 2) 通过看图对话训练,了解世界各地一些动物的情况,开阔学生的眼界。 2. 教学难点 1) 进行听力训练,提高学生们听对话获取相关信息的能力。 2)通过听力、对话训练,来培养学生们的综合语言运用能力。 三、教学过程 . Warming- up and revision 1. Greet the Ss as usual. 2.

3、Enjoy an English song: Try everything. Let Ss listen and watch the video then find out the animals in it. Then teacher ask some Ss to say the names of the animals he/she finds . Let them say more animals as they can. Teacher ask some students favorite animals and why they like them. . Presentation 1

4、. Show some pictures on the big screen and teach Ss the new words. e.g. Show a picture of a shy panda, let Ss know the panda is shy. Then show a picture of a friendly koala,let Ss know the koala is friendly. 2. Let Ss read aloud the words and expressions. 3. Give Ss some time and read aloud the word

5、s. . Learning 1. Pay attention to the animals in the picture in 1a and ask a student to say the name of each one. 2. Point out the list of eight numbered adjectives below. T: Now please match the adjectives with the animals in the picture. Write the letter of the animal on the line after the adjecti

6、ve. Point out the sample answer. 3. As students work, move around the room offering to answer questions as needed. 4. Correct the answers. . Listening Work on 1b: 1. T: Now I will play a recording of a conversation between Tony and Maria. This time circle the adjectives you bear on the list for la.

7、2. Ss listen and try to circle the adjectives in 1a. 3. Play the recording again for the Ss to check the answers. Work on 1c: 1. Call attention to the three headings. Animal, Marias Words and Tonys Words, and the write-on lines under each. 2. Say, Now I will play the recording again. This time pleas

8、e write the name of the animals each person talks about and the words they say. 3. Play the first four lines of recording and stop the tape. Ask, what animal are they talking about? What words does Mary use to describe the elephant? Point out the write-on lines where students can write these words.

9、4. Play the whole recording and have students write the words they hear on the chart. 5. Then let Ss answer the two questions on the screen RoleRole- -playplay. Play the whole recording and have students listen again ,then fill in the blanks After that let Ss read the conversation and role play it.

10、. Pairwork 1. Call attention to the dialogue next to the picture. Ask two students to read it to the class. 2. Ss, work in pairs. Use sentences like these to say what you think about different animals. 3. Ss work in pairs to make their own conversations. As they work, move around the room checking on progress. 4. Ask some pairs to present their conversations to the class. Homework 1.Read the conversations in 1d and practice more conversations about animals that you like or you dont like with your partner。 2. Write an artile about an animal you like。
