To enable students to talk about their dream jobs. 3. To train students abilities of listening, speaking and writing. 4. To guide students to write

3、 make their dreams come true freely. Teaching methods: Communicative Language Teaching; Audio-lingual Method; (教学方法) Task-based teaching method. Teaching aids (教学工具): a computer; PowerPoint; Some cards Teaching procedures(教学过程): Step 1 Warming-up 1. Let students enjoy a song: “what do you want to be

4、”. Before listening, ask a question: How many jobs are mentioned in this song? 2. Listen to the song twice, and then find out the name of jobs in the song. (这首歌曲与本课所学内容密切相关,并且非常有节奏感,能够充分调动课堂气 氛,吸引学生的注意力) Step 2 Lead-in 1. Do a guessing game. Show some pictures on the screen and ask students to guess

5、: What does she/he do? 2. Learn the new words. Show some pictures on the screen and learn these new words together: professional basketball player 职业篮球运动员 computer programmer 电脑程序设计师 engineer 工程师 pilot 飞行员 actor 演员 (通过多媒体屏幕向学生展示所学单词,图文并茂, 非常直观地向学生展示了新 单词。简单的单词游戏既调动了学生的学习积极性又强化了单词记忆。) Step 3 Watch an

6、d learn Have students watch a video and ask: what are the four boys going to be when they grow up? Show a simple chart on the screen and ask students to fill in the blank with the job names they have heard. (通过观看简短的视频,既引入了本课的重要句型,又锻练了学生的听力。) Step 4 Present and Practice 1. Show the key sentences on t

7、he screen: What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a/an 2. Then the teacher asks some students one by one: What do you want to be when you grow up? What does she/he want to be when she/ he grows up? What do they want to be when they grow up? ( 展现新的句型结构,并示范对话操练,引导学生进行正确的对话练习。) Step 5 Pa

8、irwork Show some pictures about professions and ask students to work in pairs and make their conversations. Then ask some pairs to present their conversations to the whole class. These words are linking to some tasks which have close relationship with what students have learned in this lesson. For example, students may get a question like: Tell us six words about professions? 14、n let a student to choose a word as he or she likes. Each time the student will get a different task. Students who finish the task correctly will get a small gift. Step 9 Summary Today we mainly learn four new words and four key sentences: professional basketball player 职业篮球运动员 computer programmer 电脑程序设计师 engineer 工程师 pilot 飞行员 actor 演员 What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a/an How are you going to do that? I am going to Step 10 Homework 以“My future”为题,写一篇你将来的理想职业以及为此该做的努力。
