Step 2 Pre-listening 1. Have students look at the posters, and familiarize them with the key words: soccer,

7、 stadium, boxing, badminton, marathon, event 2. Invite some students to share their ideas about the following four questions: What is the sport in picture_? Where/ When will the _ be held? What sports events do you like to watch? Which sport would you like to try? Have them practice the sentence pat

8、terns. Step 3 While-listening 1. Ask students to underline the key words in the options A-C in the Exercise 2: A: invite, e-sports event B: invite, soccer match C: explain, e-sports event 2. Have students listen to Conversation 1 and choose the answer. 3. Teach students to listen for main ideas. 4.

9、Have students listen to Conversation 1 again and check the answer. 5. Teach students to listen for main ideas by predicting, and listening to the key sentences and stressed words. 6. Ask students to underline the key words and predict the answers in the Exercise 4. 7. Have students listen to Convers

10、ation 2 and write the answers. Step 4 Post-listening 1. Have students read the Exercise 5 and familiarize them with the key words: ski, host, track, track and field, gym, work out, sweat, make it 2. Have students listen to the Conversation 1 again, filling in the scripts at the mean time, familiariz

11、ing them with the expressions for invitation. 3. Summarize and provide sentence patterns, then ask students to prepare for the conversation with a partner. 4. Invite some students to present their conversations in front of the whole class. Step 5 Summary 1. Review the key words and phrases learnt in
