What will you do in July? What will you do in September? 3.揭示课题。 (1)教师对全班说:“Youll graduate from our school in July.Ill miss you very much.But Im very happy that all of you will go to middle school in September.(边说边出示一所中学的图片, 贴在黑板上)Today,lets go to visit a middle school.” (2)板书课题:Unit 8 A Visit to a Middle School Part A。 (3)教学 middle school,并将其板书在图片下方。告诉学生 middle 意为“中间的,中级的” 。 Step 2 Review 1.复习有关教室的名称。 (1)教师对全班说:“There are many school rooms in the middle school. Do you remember the chant: School Rooms? Lets chant together.”教师播放录音,全班学生齐说韵律诗。 Where is the computer room? On the seventh floor. Where is the music room? On the fifth floor. Where is the dining room? On the first floor. (2)出示 our classroom,our school library 和 our art room,替换相关词组,请全班学生再说 一遍韵律诗。 2.复习基数词和序数词。 (1)教师出示有关的基数词卡片,学生快速认读。 (2)教师出示有关的序数词卡片,学生快速认读。 (3)引导学生归纳序数词的构成规律,教师作适当补充。 3.复习句型:Where is the? Its on the. (1)教师出示学校各种教室的图片,用 Where is/are the?的句型提问,请学生根据学校 的实际情况来回答。 (2)教师用 Which floor do you live on? 的句型提问,请学生根据自己家所居住的楼层来 回答。 Step 3 Presentation (一)整体感知,学习课文的第一段内容 1.教师出示课文第一幅挂图说:“Yang Ming and his classmates will go to middle school soon.They are visiting a middle school now.Which school is it? Lets go and have a look.” 2.教师播放课文录音或多媒体教学光盘,学生边听边看书,并小声模仿。 3.教师出示问题:Which school are they visiting? 学生找出答案:Sunlight Middle School。教 师将黑板上中学图片下面的 middle school 改为 Sunlight Middle School,提醒学生注意,学 校的校名每个单词的首字母都要大写。再列举几所学生熟悉的本地区中学校名,练习说: Middle School。 4.请学生读一读第一段内容,教学人物名字 Alice Brown 和句子 Ill show you around our school.引导学生模仿第一段内容说句子,如: Im. Welcome to our school.Ill show you around our school. Im. Welcome to our museum.Ill show you around our museum. (二)再读课文,学习单词 physics,lab,study 和 teachers office 1.教师出示课文的第二幅挂图说:“This is the classroom building of Sunlight Middle School.Which rooms are they talking about? Where are the rooms?” 2.请学生带着问题自读课文,然后根据课文内容完成下列表格: Room Floor School Libraryon the first floor Teachers Officeson the second floor Labson the ninth floor 3.教学词组:teachers office。 (1)出示单词 officer 来教学单词 office 和 offices。 (2)出示 Teachers Day 和 teachers office,请学生读一读,然后复习名词所有格的表达方法, 并拓展操练,如:the teachers offices,the police offices 等。 4.教学单词:physics,lab 和 study。 (1)教师出示图片和卡片教学 lab,并出示学校科学实验室的图片,请学生尝试说一说 science lab。 (2)教师出示物理实验室的图片,告诉学生:“This is a physics lab.We will study physics at middle school.”教师在黑板上板书 study physics 和 physics lab,并教学。 5.请学生看表格说句子: Our school library is on the first floor. Our teachers offices are on the second floor. Our physics labs are on the ninth floor. (三)熟读课文 1.请学生看课本第 50 页,教师播放课文录音或多媒体教学光盘二至三遍,学生模仿跟读。 2.给学生一些时间,熟读课文内容,遇到疑难处可向同学或老师请教。 3.请几位学生站起来示范读对话。 (四)巩固练习 1.完成课本第 54 页的 Learn to write.部分。 (1)学生独自完成练习,教师巡视指导和帮助学生。 (2)请三名学生在黑板上写出答案,全班学生核对。 2.学唱歌曲:Our School Will Shine。 (1)教师带读歌词,帮助学生理解歌词大意。 (2)教师播放录音,学生倾听,熟悉旋律。 (3)学生跟着录音学唱歌曲一至两遍。 (五)语音学习 1.学生翻开课本第 51 页,教师播放 Listen and learn the English sounds.部分的录音,学生模 仿跟读二至三遍。 2.教师请学生自己读一读这十个单词,仔细体会这些单词中红色字体的字母组合的发音, 然后请几位学生说一说。 3.请同学们一起努力,找出更多和表中所列出的单词有相同读音规则的单词。如: al: ball,wall,small au: autumn or: sport,morning Step 4 Extension 综合活动:“小小迎宾员” 。 1.完成课本第 51 页的 Ask and answer.部分。 (1)教师出示表格中所有教室的词组卡片,先请学生读一读,然后将卡片按顺序发给学生, 如:第一组第一桌的两个学生拿 Reading-rooms 的卡片,第二桌的两个学生拿 Teachers Offices 的卡片,以此类推。 (2)教师播放录音,全班学生模仿跟读。 (3)全班学生练习,如:一位学生随机提出问题:“Where are the classrooms for Grade 8?”第四桌持有 Classrooms for Grade 8 卡片的两个学生就要立即起立说:“They are on the fourth floor.” 2.“小小迎宾员”活动。 (1)教师先示范如下: Im a teacher of No.1 Middle School. Welcome to our school. Ill show you around our school. Look.These are our reading-rooms.(指着第一桌学生的卡片)They are on the first floor. This is my office.(指着第二桌学生的卡片)Its on the second floor. The science labs are on the ninth floor. (2)请学生四人一小组,先给自己要介绍的中学取个校名,然后准备“小小迎宾员”要说 的话。 (3)推举一位学生当“小小迎宾员” ,带着小组内的其余三位学生开始表演活动。 Step 5 Homework 1.听录音,熟读本课内容。 2.完成活动手册中本课的练习。 3.查询初中所有的学习科目和初中与小学不同的教室,借助网络资源,将它们用英语写出 来。
