2、sentences which changes the name of the person. 2.Students have learned some simple words:bird, monkey,fish,elephant. 3.Students can ask the question with their classmates:What is it? It is a/an. Teaching objectives Knowledge objective: know some new words :cow、run. know the sentence pattern :-What

3、is +主语(第三人称单数)+ doing ? - It /He /She is +动词-ing know the rules of v-ing. Ability objectives:can use the present progressive to ask question with classmates. can find the present progressive rules from the sentences Emotion / moral objectives:Interest in learning English and knowing the differences

4、about English culture. Focal /difficult points master the words about animal and use them to express what the animals are doing master the present progressive and use the structure to ask questions with their classmates master the structure:-What is +主语(第三人称单数)+ doing ? - It /He /She is +动词-ing Teac

6、ets chant. 3.Review some words (run,running/fly,flying.). 1.Say hello to teacher. 2.Chant with the teacher. 3.Review the words through the games. 1.establish a closed relationship between teacher and students. 2.lead students to the theme of this class and review the words through the games to stimu

7、late students interest. Step II. Presentation Lets go to the animals world. 1.Let students page 21, and play the tape. (First listen, and then following to the tape.) 2.Present the bird on the screen, and then play a guessing game to ask some questions: What is it? What is it doing? (In this way,pre

8、sent the animals: monkey,cat,mouse,cow, fish,elephant one by one. Beside, teach the new words of “cow,running” by presenting the cards. 1.Open the book and listen to the tape carefully. Follow to the tape and read them loudly. 2. Look at the screen and guess “what is it ? what is it doing?”. (Learn

9、the new words: cow 、 run, and read it group by group, one by one ) 1.Teach some new words and give some information about the lesson. 2.Present the pictures to learn the sentences to make students focus their attention on the words and the sentence pattern of “What is +主语(第三人称 单数)+ doing ? It is + 动

10、词 -ing” ,and remember them. 3.Encourage students to take part in the class and stimulate students interest through playing a game and give some gifts to foster students confident. Step III. Practice 1.Use PPT to show some practices and let the students fill in the blanks in 5mins. Practice 1: What _

11、 it doing? It _ playing. What _ you doing? I _ reading a book. Practice 2:Lets guess What _ he doing? He _ playing football. What _ she doing? She _ reading a book. 1. Students finish the tasks in groups or in pairs. After 5mins,they present their answer to the whole class. 2. Work in groups. 1.Give

12、 different task to lead students to attain varieties of knowledge. 2.To make sure every student can have a chance to learn something. 3.Though the dialogue, students can learn the rules of the present progressive. Beside, students can master the rules by singing the song. Step IV. Production 1.Prese

13、nt some pictures and the sentences pattern to lead students to make some dialogues. 2.Let students sing the song. 1.Make a dialogue with classmate, 2.Sing a song with teacher. Let students know what they have learn and remember about this class. Summary and Homework Read the words and the sentences

14、of this lesson and try to remember them. Try to sump up what they have learned in this lesson. Finish the homework after school. Consolidate the students knowledge about the present progressive. Teaching reflection(教学预测/课后反思): 1)Students abilities are different,and some students may feel confused ab

15、out some words and they cant speak correctly. 2)Time seems very limited to teach all the things in 45minite and students may be out of control in practice. 3)Some quiet students may not take part in the game.
