Show a picture and guess the name of story. Then show the objects of this class: Listening to a story and retell it after learning. ( Purpose: To attract the students attention and make them know the objects) 2 Step II. Words review. 1. Listen to the tape and read the words. 2. Review the speech and interpretation. 3. Words Game. 4. Ask students to do 1a to match the key words with pictures. ( Purpose: To learn the new words ) Step III . Listening House. Challenge your ears. 1. Before listening to 1b, try to guess the order. Then listen to the tape and number the pictures. Next, check the answer. 2. Ask some questions about the main characters and lead them to listen for more information about the story. 3. Before listening to 1c, give them some time to read the story. Then listen to the tape and fill in the blanks. Next, according to each picture, listen to the tape again, try to recite it. Finally, listen to it again and read it together. ( Purpose: To recite the whole story by listening to each picture. ) Step IV. Retell the story. 1. Ask some questions about the story to make students get the information they need to retell it. 2. Help students to list key words and phrases of each pictures. 3. Follow the teacher to retell the story first, and then ask some students to tell the story. 3 ( Purpose: To strengthen the students memory of the story and make them retell the story. ) Step V.
